Synopsis
'Trai,' the playboy singer of the bar where 'Song' works part-time (from the story "Try... To Know Love"), is a true Casanova, adept at charming both men and women. But deep down, he's lonely in a way no one would expect because being alone terrifies him. What I think
I checked out "Before Knowing How Much" as an eBook and didn't initially realize it was by the same author as another book I'd read. This book is part of the same universe but doesn't need to be read in order, which is nice. While I liked the plot, I noticed similar issues with the language as in "Try... To Know Love," like missing or redundant words, which made the storytelling a bit rough, like a draft rather than a polished novel. Despite this, "Defeated by Love" shows a marked improvement in writing compared to the earlier work. It seems the author's style is evolving, promising smoother reads in future stories.
