CHAPTER SIXTEEN

                    A BROKEN PROMISE

Theodore went inside his room.

I'll take a nap again.

He said to himself.

Until he heard a voice said

" THEODORE CADDEL!"

He got up and saw the woman.

The same woman.

It was Magnolia.

" Magnolia?"

He asked in a tired tone

Magnolia walked closer to his bed. Theodore became a bit scared. He could easily tell that she was not happy.

She then said to him.

" Do you know what you did?"

She asked.

Theodore paused then looked left and right. She knew what she meant. But he didn't want to tell her cause he didn't want her to be more enraged.

He then looked at Magnolia.

" Um sorry but.... I don't know what you're talking about."

This angered Magnolia. She can't believe that the person that she talked with like a couple of days ago was slowly starting to act like an idiot.

In order to stay calm, She took a deep breath and said.

" I'll ask again do you know what you did?"

Theodore didn't reply. He just backed away and started to think of what to say next. He started to feel more scared.

Seeing him act like this angered Magnolia even more. She finally had enough.

" I'll ask again. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID?"

She asked in a booming voice.

This made Theodore nearly trip as he backed further away from her.

" I didn't reply to my friend's message? Um.... David's message I mean?" He said feeling insecure of his answer. He knew it was stupid.

But he still wanted to say that anyway.

Magnolia then got angry again. In a much louder voice she said

" WRONG! YOU FORGOT OUR PROMISE!"

Theodore remembered that.

What have I done?

He thought.

I have made one of the most powerful wizard mad.

He began to tremble.

" I'm sorry!"

He said.

" It's too late!"

Magnolia then walked away from him.

With Theodore regretting the thing he did.

" That was very foolish of me"

He then looked at Magnolia.

" Wait!"

Magnolia stopped and looked back at him.

" Give me another chance! And I think I could mend this broken promise!"

Magnolia rolled her eyes on him.

" The promise is already broken Theodore. You can't fix it now."

Theodore wanted to give up. He wanted the conversation to end. But instead, he wanted to say something else

Come on Theodore! Think!

Then he came up with a plan

" I will learn your magic on my own"

Magnolia was shocked by these words.

" Are you sure?

" Yes"

Theodore said confidently.

" I'm pretty sure that I could do it."

Magnolia turned her face away from the boy. She wanted to let out a laugh but instead she just kept quiet.

Magnolia then turned to Theodore again and looked at him.

" Very well then. I will let you. But just be careful. Make sure that these spells won't go out of hand. You understand?"

Theodore nodded.

Magnolia went inside her cavern then came outside with a spell book.

" Here. Don't mess things up okay?"

" Okay"

And after that she was gone.
