Chapter 12

"You find yourself a good circle of friends. That's surprising."

"You." She gasped a shaky breath. "Back then, why did you do it?"

I laughed without humor before pushing myself up and I shrugged my shoulder. "No reason. I just want you to feel how betrayal feels like."

"Wh-y?" Pyo Ji-Ae wasn't that hard to fool and manipulated. She's an easy target.

"I hate how weak you are." I step forward. "People like you will probably end up betraying those people around you just to save yourself." I took a deep breath and look at her in the eyes. My cold eyes mirroring her shaky eyes

"How can you be so sure about that?!" A tears drop from her eyes while gripping on the hem of her school blouse desperately

"I asked you, have you forgotten?"

"W-What are you t-talking abo-uut?"

"Why didn't you help your friend when Da Yeon approached her." I raise my brows. "Do you remember your response? You told me that you were afraid that Da Yeon will bully you instead of her. You feel bad but never regret. Why? Because you are too weak to stand up for her." I put a strands of hair behind her ears and smile mockingly

"Whether you like it or not you will only make the same mistake over and over again. People like you have no idea how unpleasant and unbearable it feels like until you experience it yourself." I stepped on her shoe before bringing my lips near her ears.

"If you can't change yourself. Better be alone so you wont be able to hurt anyone. Isn't that better?" I look at her from the side of my eyes

"Is that the real you? I'm not even surprise. This school is full of pretentious bitches." My smile instantly drop as an uninvited person appeared from behind me. I distance myself from Ji-Ae and face her.

"I don't think you should be the one saying that Yoo Jebi. You are also weak." She continued

"Soo-Ji, what are you doing here?" I asked her unfaze by the fact that she saw me without that kind girl mask. She shrugged her shoulder and walk toward me instead of answering my question.

"Arent you the same as her?" She asked. "You hate her coz you see yourself on her."

I scoffed."Is that what you think?

"Am I wrong?" I didn't answer her.

"You don't like this game too." She suddenly said but was skeptical to say more. Probably thinking if she could trust me or not but continue nevertheless

"Let's destroy the game."

An amused chuckled escape my lips before crossing my arms."And why would I do that?"

"Why are you playing this game in the first place? Ha-Rin have something on you, right? Ja Eun told me about you and Da Yeon."

"What?"

"I have my theory. If you want to escape Da Yeon's abuse and Ha-Rin's manipulation lets destroy it. The Pyramid Game."

Da Yeon's abuse? I like that tho...but come to think of it. This is the perfect opportunity for that

"Prove to me that you can do it before I agree to that. I'm not betting my safe place for something that have no assurance."

"Sure." She chuckle as if remembering something. "Honestly. You two are similar in some way." I saw a smile formed on her lips.

What is she talking about. She's insane.

The next few days I saw how Soo-Ji and her group pursue some of the girls in our class into siding with them, they were persistent.

On lunch time while I am eating lunch with Jae-Hyeong inside the cafeteria Soo-Ji suddenly sat beside Jae-Hyeong.

"It's 'Show me the money' He was a hit last night. Shownu's body line was amazing when he danced." Jae-Hyeong drops her spoon and immediately removes her earpods and look at her

"Are you in his fan club?"

"You too?"

"Me too!"

"Have you ever been to the fan signing event?"

"Of course."

I drop my chopstick and decided to leave. They seems to be in their own world so didn't mind saying anything to them.

I went upstairs and entered the music room. I ran my fingers on the piano keys producing a high and low sound before I decided to finally sat down.

After choosing a song to sing I start playing the piano.

A clap was heard after the song and when I turn around I saw Da Yeon leaning on th close door while smiling genuinely at me.

"Since when are you here?"

"Long enough to say that my girlfriend have an angelic voice." A smile tugged on my lips as she push herself up and approach me

"You went to bar with Seol-Ha last weekends what happened?"

"Nothing much. We tried to invite Do-Ah but she refused."

"Obviously. Why did you even invite her in the first place?" She sat on my lap and kiss my lips

"To remind her."

"You don't need to do that. Do-Ah is smart enough to know what's good for her."

"I'm just making sure. Ha-Rin will come to us if something annoyed her again. Its better to prevent it before it happen."

"Yeah, But something will definitely happen. I'm sure of it.
