- ᴀɴ ᴜᴘꜱᴇᴛᴛɪɴɢ ᴘʜᴏɴᴇ ᴄᴀʟʟ -

I was reading other Iida fics and mine is actually kinda boring so I'm gonna try boost the romance!!! Let me know if you prefer slowburn??!?!??! I like slowburn but I'm gonna try step it up because I know a lot of people don't.

I just want you to know I also cringe at every word I write.

I flinch, not expecting him to be so close to me.

His eyes have a worried look in them, an expression that seems to be all I ever see from him. Either that, or a gentle smile.

As I lock eyes with him, I feel his palm move onto my other hand, still covering my face. His rough palm encases my fingers, pulling them away from my eyes to reveal the other side of my tear soaked face.

Through my blurry lenses, I could still see the intensity of his gaze. It felt piercing, like he was looking straight into my soul. 

It felt weird. 

Thump, Thump

I feel my heartbeat speeding up, the pounding of my heart echoed in my ears. I was worried he could feel it too.

"Iida.." I mumble.

Slowly, I feel my eyes shift from his gaze, further down. 

I find myself staring at his lips. They were slightly parted. 

I instantly shift my gaze away.

How indecent.

I feel my heartbeat pound louder, ringing in my ears.

What a crude thought.... 

How could I think that about Iida, who is just trying to help me?

Don't you dare think like that again!

"Huh.." I hear myself murmur.

As I find myself becoming lost in his piercing gaze, my body unconsciously begins to lean forward.

Slowly...

I see his face slowly inching closer to mine. 

I feel his grasp on my hands tighten.

Is this really happening????

Right now???

Our faces were just inches away now. I could hear his unsteady breath, even through the heavy pounding of my heart.

Well...

If it's with Iida....

"AH?!" 

I hear a loud voice yell.

I immediately look to the source of the sound. At the doorway stood Midoriya and Ochako, whose faces were both bright red.

I feel Iida let go of my hands. "Ah! Midoriya! Uraraka!" He shouts.

I instantly cover my mouth, I could feel my face heating up.

"P-please C-continue!" I hear Midoriya shout as he begins to exit.
