Silence befell the communication array only feng xin who was still angrily swearing. Hua cheng retreated back his hand after he was done speaking.

Xie lian called out "San Lang....."

Hua cheng however, let go of his hand "Don't mind them" he said "come with me"

"Where is he taking him?" feng xin asked still worried.

"Who knows" Mu qing replied his brows furrowed.

His voice was low, the emotion behind it hard to discern. Yet the way he let go of Xie Lian’s wrist was swift, almost like he’d been shaken off. Xie Lian was immediately reminded of the first time they met and how he had evaded his touch. Xie Lian froze on the spot.

"ohhhh you touched him your highness? Where? Ho-" Pei ming asked excited just to get smacked by wudu fan.

And he instantly shut up when hua cheng glared at him.

Earlier Xie lian wanted to ask why hua cheng had appeared so suddenly. He thought that maybe he came to save him? But now that he finally remembered....why would hua cheng come to save him? "Oh yes... That happened" Qingxuan said in small voice feeling guilty too.

"San Lang I'm sorry...." Xie lian apologized and hua cheng suddenly paused in his steps.

"Why are you apologising?" he asked.

"The reason I went to ghost city was to investigate about missing earth master, I didn't tell you full truth so that counts as lie. You treated me with utmost hospitality but I burned down your residence and armoury full of your treasures. I'm really sorry" Xie lian explained.

Hua cheng didn't say anything and Xie lian knew "sorry" was nothing to what he did.

"I expect that I'd be banished. After I descend to mortal realm I'll think of a way to pay you bac-"

Hua cheng frowned at this and said "Gege doesn't have to pay me back"

Xie lian just looked down while others felt bad at how bad his luck was.

“Why should you have to repay me?” Hua Cheng interrupted.
His tone was a little harsh, as if he couldn’t listen anymore, and he
abruptly turned around. “Did you forget that my blade wounded your arm? I hurt you, not the other way around. Why should you have to repay me?”

Xie lian had forgot about his injury he waved his hand around shaking his head. "San Lang, it was me who put myself infront of your sword. What happened is my fault also it doesn't hurt anymore it's fine"

Hua cheng stared at him not saying anything. Xie lian heard little whimpering sound and looked down just to see eming shaking uncontrollably. Eye on its hilt was formed in silver line as if child who was clearly bawling.

"Huh? What's going on?" xie lian thought unsure of why eming was shaking so badly.

Xie lian reached out wanting to pet it "What's wrong?"
