"Good morning, you little party animal." My dad joked as I walked into the kitchen. "Playing hooky?" He asked.

I squinted and looked at the time on the kitchen clock.

10:20 AM

I wasn't planning on involving myself in senior skip day but I guess I am. My night included make out sessions and playful touching with Jacob. Once I got home from the party I went to sleep.

"Where's mom?" I ask my dad.

"She took Dakota to speech therapy." He told me.

I nodded my head.

I'm so tired from last night. I woke up feeling bad about giving Jacob a blow job. Not because it was more of a casual thing but because I'm afraid that he really likes me and might look at me differently. Just because we're not dating now doesn't mean we won't eventually be together.

He's the one that gave the speech about "having fun" and "just being teenagers". I'm just doing what he said to do. Doesn't make me look at him any different. Just making me look at myself differently.

"What are you doing today?" I ask my dad as I pop myself two waffles in the toaster.

"I got an audition to tape, so Brian is coming over to help me with that." He told me.

"Good luck," I replied with a smile. "You know I still don't feel like I have famous parents. Maybe because I go to a primarily white school, so people aren't watching BET." I said shrugging.

"Probably." My dad said laughing.

Nobody at my school really mentions my parents fame. It makes me feel normal. Everyone at my school is rich or has ties to someone who was able to get them into that private high school. The tuition is $13,000 a year. Which adds up when you join clubs and extracurricular activities. I'm just blessed to have the lifestyle I have.

"So, what do you want for your birthday, besides the Tesla?" My dad randomly asked.

I sighed and sat down at the table with my waffles.

"I haven't really thought about my birthday. It's been very chaotic in my life lately." I said softly.

My dad walked over to the table and sat down with me. I could tell he was about to get serious. It was a little too early for a serious conversation but I wasn't gonna push him away.

"Do you want to talk about anything?" He asked me.

I take a bite out my food, shaking my head.

"Nah," I responded confidently.

"Okay." My dad getting up.

Once I swallowed my food. I turned around and looked at him.

"Maybe later?" I suggest.
