Hidden behind the smile •MonoShinKami• ~Denki angst~

The pain

"Wait you like Monoma? Isn't he always horrible to you?" Ojiro asks gently, Denki nods but looks down before speaking, he's blushing now.
"I-If you actually talk to him while he's not surrounded by high ranking students he's really sweet... He copied my quirk once and he was kind to me ever since..." Ojiro's face falls slightly,
"Was he ok? If he wasn't used to it couldn't it permanently burn you internally..?" He asks carefully not to over share. Denki responds immediately,
"He overused my quirk so he shut down but luckily there were no lasting effects that I know of-"
Bakugou interrupts worry in his voice as his grip on Denkis hand tightens slightly,
"Denki, does your quirk hurt you when your brain shuts down." Denki freezes.
"Answer honestly."
Denki then proceeds to nod shakely, all of Bakusquads faces drop and Mina immediately starts to cry with Kirishima starting only seconds after, they had been mocking their friend for being in pain. Future heroes. Treating a peer so horribly.

Mina launched herself at Denki from where she was playing his hair and hugged him from behind, Kirishima was sat frozen crying while Sero was mumbling apologies. Bakugou sat there dumbfounded, 'again' whispered in his head, 'brat, you did it again', it got louder, 'YOU HURT THE ONES YOU LOVE AGAIN!'. His thoughts were silenced by Denki shout.
"STOP! Stop the apologies! Stop the tears! Stop!" They all froze, even Ojiro, who had been silently watching this unfold, was confused. He continued,
"I didn't say anything. You can be sorry but quit the pity and guilt. It escalates and I don't want it to escalate." They all try to calm down, it takes them 20 minutes and a few questions but then they're calm, except Bakugou.

Bakugou gets up and sits beside Denki, they all look a bit confused until he pulls him into an embrace, he's holding him tightly, it takes Denki a minute to realise but Bakugou was silently crying into his shoulder while holding him. Denki pets his hair, he can't help but smile, Bakugou struggles a lot with his emotions so it's very rare to see him cry. Mina moves so that she is leaning on Kirishima with Sero on her other side, Ojiro sits by himself but Denki is playing with his tail still, they all end up falling asleep. Bakugou on Denki, Denki leaning on Bakugous bed while holding Ojiro's tail, Sero on Bakugous bed, his arm hanging beside Mina, who was cuddling up to Kirishima.

The night was peaceful, Bakugou owned a sound machine so they were lulled to sleep  by forest sounds, this is one of those times where there is a silent agreement that there would be no teasing, joking or sharing anything from what happened that night.
