Part 22: Can You Keep A Secret?

Echo's POV 

For the past hour, I had been sitting in my seat checking if everything was okay when I heard Gonky honking. I looked back towards him seeing him approaching us. But then my eyes traveled towards Luna. She was in her room with her legs crossed and hands resting on her legs. 

I stood up from my seat and walked past Wrecker who was busy sleeping. As I walked past Gonky I stopped myself as I placed my back against the wall and looked up at Luna who opened her eyes so she could look down at me. I crossed my hands. 

Me: "Meditating again?" 

Luna: "Trying. But no matter what I tried to do I can't concentrate enough to feel the Force." 

Me: "Maybe you should take a break." 

Luna: "Maybe. Why don't you try meditating?" 

Me: "No. I don't enjoy solitude. I had enough of that on Skako Minor. If not for this squad, I'd still be a prisoner here or worse." 

Luna: "Is that the reason you joined them?" 

Me: "Hmm. This was where I fit, where I was needed." 

Tech: "We have an incoming transmission. It'Rex." 

I turned to look at my right to look at Tech who looked back at us. Seeing that all of us were looking at him even Wrecker he pressed the button on the transmission. Rex appeared on the monitor. Luna and I approach others. 

Rex: "Hey, boys. Lunar. Any chance I can use your squad's expertise for a mission?" 

Wrecker: "Finally. I'm tired of waiting around for Cid." 

Me: "What do you need, Rex?" 

Rex: "I'll explain everything when you get to Coruscant." 

Hunter: "Coruscant? That's a big, ask, Captain." 

Luna: "Why? What's on Coruscant?" 

Tech: "It is the galactic capital and, thus, the heart of the Empire." 

Me: "But the Empire thinks we're dead. They won't be working for us." 

Hunter: "I do like to keep it that way." 

He said making me look at him, meeting his eyes. 

Rex: "It's a coveted mission. A simple data extraction but a crucial one. I'll send over a flight plan to bypass Imperial security and coordinate to a safe landing zone." 

Me: "We are on our way." 

Luna's POV 

Tech: "We are approaching Coruscant." 

Hunter: "Everyone, stay ready. 

I was looking out of the window down at the city. It was so big that you couldn't see the end of it. As Tech landed the ship we all stepped out of it and we were approached by Rex and there was a woman with him.  

Rex: "Glad you were able to come. This is Senator Riyo Chichi." 

She nodded. 

Rex: "These are the special clones I told you about." 

She looked at us and her eyes stopped on me. 

Me: "Hi." 

Riyo: "Hi. Thank you for coming." 

Hunter: "Why are we here, Captain?" 

Rex: "Inside. There's something I want you to see." 

We all followed Rex and Riyo inside and all of us approached a table. On the tablet was covered dead body of a clone. The moment Rex removed the cover off the face I looked away and took a step back.
