Part 28: More Than That

Tech's POV 

I was looking down at the monitor as I was walking. The closer I got to her, the more the comm device beeped. Soon I found her bag on the ground. As I approached it I saw a hole on my left. 

Me: "Luna?" 

Looking through the hole from which light was coming, I saw Luna as I looked down. She was using a device and was sucking the ipsium out of the mineral. I removed my helmet. She was standing in a small space room that she claimed into it. In the room, there was a small space where she was standing.  

Me: "Luna." 

Luna: "I'm busy." 

She said without removing her eyes from the mineral. 

Me: "I can see that. Are you aware that you are surrounded by enough ipsium that, if not handled correctly could take down the entire cavern?" 

Luna: "Then you better not distract me." 

She said. I took the monitor from behind my belt and looked down at it. 

Luna: "We can use this to blow our way out of here." 

Me: "I came to a similar conclusion myself. 

Luna: "Little help?" 

Me: "This vein appears to be much more pure than we found in Cid's mine." 

I said as I looked around before taking the filled vial that she was offering to me. 

Me: "Perhaps you should extract as much ipsium as you can." 

Luna: "You trust me to do that?" 

She asked as she looked me in the eyes. 

Me: "I am fully aware you are capable of the task." 

Luna: "Grab an empty vial from my bag and give them to me." 

I nodded. By the tone of her voice, I could still clearly hear that she was angry. 

Luna: "How many are left?" 

She asked 10 minutes later. I looked threw the hole and offered her another vial. 

Me: "This is the last one." 

She took it and I placed another filled vail inside her bag. 

Luna: "Tech!" 

The tone of her voice worried me so I quickly went back to the hole seeing that she was holding herself by the mineral over the hole. 

Me: "Hang on!" 

I placed my monitor behind my belt and claimed inside the hole. Stepping into the room I went down and offered her my hand. She tried reaching for it when the part that she was holding broke and she began to fall. 

Me: "LUNA!" 

A scream left her mouth as she disappeared into the darkness. There was no time for help so I jumped after her. I fell into a river and the moment I swam up above the water I began to swim after Luna who was trying to fight the strong river. The moment that I came to her I placed my right hand around her waist holding her above the water. 

Me: "Hold on!" 

Hunter's POV 

I was helping Wrecker move another rock and for a moment we moved it we placed our backs against it taking a little break so we could catch our breaths. As Wrecker took a bottle from behind his belt I looked towards the way Tech went. A bad feeling came to me. It has been some time since he left and they were still not back.
