Part 33: End Of Mokko

Luna's POV 

Me: "No! Let go of me!" 

I was trying to resist the droid that was pulling me after him. No matter how much I tried to pull back I was unable to. Coming to the end of the broken bridge he pulled me forward and turned me towards him so my back was facing the fall. Turning around I looked down to see lava.

I saw Hunter looking up at me with a worried expression on his face. Looking to my left I saw Mokko on the bridge with his minors and two droids who were standing in front of Wrecker and Tech. 

Mokko: "Lower your weapons, or she goes over." 

Wrecker and Tech shared a look before they placed their blasters down. 

Mokko: "Trespassing and attempted theft. Ten years in the mines seems like a responsible punishment if you survive this long. Take them below." 

Benni: "Stop!" 

He came running into the room. 

Mokko: "Not now kid. I'm busy." 

Benni; "You lied to us Mokko! The ipsium's not degrading! You've been cutting us out and keeping the profit for yourself!" 

Mokko: "That's a lie. Don't listen to him!" 

Benni: "You never cared about us at all. And I have the proof right here." 

He said as he showed the monitor I was using to try and get the code. 

Drake: "Let me see that." 

Benni gave him the monitor. After looking at it for a few seconds Drake looked at Mokko. 

Drake: "What's going on Mokko? We toil down the mines while you enjoy the spoils?" 

Mokko: "I was taking my share! None of you would've survived without me! Don't forget that. Throw her over!" 

He yelled to the droid that was holding me. I tried to resist but the droid let go of me at that moment. 

Wrecker: "LUNA!" 

Benni: "NO!" 

My body turned and I saw how I was getting closer and closer to the lava. Suddenly I saw Hunter. He came to my rescue as he was swinging with his grabbing hook and the moment our bodies touched he wrapped his hand around me. Only able to use my legs I wrapped them around his waist. He pulled us up to the bridge from which I was just thrown and before the droid on top could hurt us I blew him off with the help of the Force. 

Hunter: "You okay?" 

He asked as we came to safety and he removed the handcuffs that were around my hands. 

Me: "Yes." 

Mokko: "Deal with them!" 

Before the two droids could hurt the minors Wrecker and Tech shoot them down. 

Mokko: "I will deal with you myself." 

He said as he lifted his stick. The minors attacked him and he ended up falling over the fence. His fake arm grabbed the hold of the edge. Benni ran up to him and offered him his hand. 

Benni: "Grab my hand!" 

Mokko grabbed his hand and began to pull him down. Drake grabbed a hold of Benni and at that moment that fake hand gave in and Mokko fell to his death. Because minors learned the truth because of us they decided to bring us back all the stuff that they took from Marauder. 

Wrecker: "Aw. Good to have you back." 

He said as he lifted Gonky and hugged him tightly. Gonky chirped happily making me smile. Even though he was a defected droid he was a part of our family. Benni came at us at that time with the cart of our stuff. 

Benni: "Here's your stuff." 

Hunter places his hands on his waist. 

Hunter: "All of it?" 

Benni: "Yeah. Don't just trust me?" 

He asked as he stepped in front of Hunter and me. Hunter said nothing as he and I shared a look. 

Benni: "Okay I see your point. But I am sure that we have everything here." 

Hunter walked to the cart and began to push it to the ship. I looked at Benni. 

Me: "So what will all do now?" 

Benni: "I guess we'll keep mining ipsium. It's what we know." 

Me: "You can be whatever you want to be. It's a big galaxy. You don't have to stay here." 

Benni: "It's not so bad. And with Mokko gone, we'll all be getting an equal share of the profits now." 

Drake: "Benni chow time!" 

Benni nodded as he looked at me. Then he looked back at me. 

Benni: "Thanks for showing me the truth. Oh, I almost forgot." 

He said as he returned my my blaster. 

Me: "Thanks." 

Benni: "Hey if you ever need a tief, I own you." 

With that, he walked past me and I looked after him. 

Tech: "What is it?" 

He asked as he stepped next to me. 

Me: "The Empire's not the only threat. We have seen so many in the galaxy like Mokko." 

Tech: "Unfortunately yes. However, there are so many like us out there. And that is something." 

He said as we both looked back at Wrecker and Hunter who were placing our stuff back on Marauder. 

Tech: "Let's get out of here." 

I nodded and both of us approached the ship. 

Wrecker: "Look Luna they didn't take Lola!" 

He yelled happily as he offered her back to me. 

Me: "That's nice Wrecker." 

I said as I took the toy from his hand. 

Me: "Let's go. I am exhausted. I need a bed." 

I said as I stepped into the Marauder. I was so glad that we had our ship back. 

Wrecker: "Me too." 

Hunter: "You two can go rest. Tech and I will stay awake." 

Me: "All right. If you need someone to switch wake me up." 

Tech: "Will do." 

I stepped into the bathroom and took a quick shower before I went to bed. The moment I was laying in my bed I could feel my body relaxing. Just as I was about to close my eyes the thought of Palpatine came to my mind. 

I didn't tell the guys what had happened to me back then. Maybe I should tell them but if I did I don't want to worry them. This morning we were stuck on the planet with no way out of here. And now that we had Marauder back not today.
