CHAPTER - 75

Hearts in Waiting

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an orange glow over the bustling airport terminal, Taehyung and Jeongguk stood hand in hand, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their friends. Excitement bubbled within them as they were about to embark on a journey to the sun-drenched shores of Bali for a much-needed getaway from their busy lives.

As Taehyung adjusted his jacket, he couldn't help but steal glances at the entrance, his anticipation growing with each passing minute. Jeongguk squeezed his hand, his eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of their friends.

"They'll be here soon, Bub." Jeongguk, he said, trying to calm Taehyung's nerves.

Just then, amidst the crowd, Taehyung spotted Jimin, Seokjin, and Hoseok making their way towards them, their faces beaming with excitement.

Taehyung's heart fluttered with joy as he rushed to embrace Jimin, the familiar warmth of his hugs instantly putting him at ease.

"I'm so glad you could make it," Taehyung said, beaming at Seokjin and Hoseok. "This trip wouldn't be the same without you."

"Thank you for inviting us." Both of them replied while bowing to Jeongguk.

"You both are older than me. Don't bow." Jeongguk politely said as he gestured for his bodyguards to take their luggage to the plane.

"Minnie, Hyungs, go and take your seats. We will wait here for Ggukie's friends." Taehyung spoke as he ushered them inside Jeongguk's private jet.

"Ready for the adventure of a lifetime?" After a few minutes, a voice startled Taehyung. He squeaked a little, and his hold on Jeongguk's hands tightened.

"Are you okay, baby?" Jeongguk whispered as he rubbed his back. Taehyung nodded and turned around, only to find Yeonjun with a sheepish smile on his face.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." Yeonjun replied after seeing the glare from Taehyung.

"Don't do that. Ever again." Taehyung muttered.

"Sorry."

"Ggukie, He is Yeonjun, my childhood friend." Taehyung introduced him to Jeongguk, who greeted him with a smile.

"Hello. I know him, baby. Remember, I used to visit Kim Mansion in your childhood? But yeah, we have never interacted before."

"Hey. We have seen each other before. But that time, Tae didn't introduce us. Wow! You are hotter up close." Yeonjun blurted out, startling Jeongguk a little.

"Jun!" Taehyung reprimanded him while smacking his shoulder.

"Oh... I'm really sorry if what I said made you uncomfortable. It wasn't my intention to offend you." Yeonjun apologized quickly.

"Nah! It's okay." Jeongguk assured him.

"Junnie, go and take your seat. We both will come in a few minutes." Yeonjun nodded and went inside the plane.

After a few minutes, they both heard a voice calling Jeongguk. They turned around and saw Yoongi and Soobin coming towards them, followed by Namjoon.

"Hyung? Are you here? When I asked you about joining me on a trip, you said you had something else planned." Taehyung was a little shocked to see his brother there.

"Well, Bear, that time Jeongguk had already asked me to join you, and I promised him that I'd come. So, I thought, Why not give you a surprise?" Namjoon replied while chuckling as he took his sulking bear in his arms.

"It's okay. I'm happy that you will be there." Taehyung smiled as he hugged his brother.

"Yoongi Hyung, thank you for joining us." Taehyung greeted Yoongi with a smile. He smiled back and ruffled his hair.
