"Camz I think I have an idea." Lauren says causing me to slowly peak my head up from her side and look at her with a questioning face.

"What is it?" I ask with curiosity, hoping it'll be something good.

"What if..." She begins but shakes her head a little. "This is going to sound crazy." She chuckles.

"Just say it." I tell her, a small smile tugging at my lips due to her laugh.

"What if we pretended to date?" She asks and I feel my face fall as my heart skips a beat.

Did she just say what I think she said? Pretend to date? How can I pretend to date her? I really like her. I...love her.

"Camz?" She asks, almost nervously.

"Hang on, I'm thinking." I tell her and she nods.

Dating Lauren. Fake dating Lauren. It would be fake but maybe I could make her fall for me for real. But maybe she wouldn't fall for me and I'd only end up broken. Maybe it'd ruin our friendship. But there's always that small chance that it could lead to something more than our friendship. Maybe she'll fall for me. This is a one time chance, I remind myself.

I slowly look back up at her. "It's a good idea." I agree, meeting her emerald green eyes.

"So you're in?" She asks happily.

"Yeah." I nod, smiling. "I'm in."

She leans down and places a kiss on my head, making butterflies erupt in my stomach. My smile grows and I feel happy. Now I just have to make her fall. For real.

"Things shouldn't be much different. I mean, we're always all cuddly and inseparable." She points out, pulling me closer into her and I bury my face in the crook of her neck.

"Yeah." I agree, mumbling into her neck.

"We're home!" Dinah's voice suddenly booms from downstairs making me flinch and Lauren's grip tightens on me.

"It's just Dinah, babe." She whispers gently and I can feel myself blushing, happy my face is buried in her neck so she can't see.

"Babe?" I mumble, looking up a little and I see a light red tint appearing on her cheeks.

"Well we are dating, right?" She asks and I nod.

"Mila where are you loser?!" Dinah shouts and I hear her coming up the stairs.

"We're in my room!" Lauren shouts back and moments later Dinah and Normani appear in the door way.

"Didn't know you were home Lauren." Normani says, as she looks at Lauren.

A second later, she notices me in her arms. She turns to Dinah who already has a huge smirk on her face which spreads to Normani's face as if it's contagious.

"Sorry is Camren having a moment?" Dinah asks, stepping into the room and I feel my face heat up causing me to bury it farther into Lauren's neck.

After a moment I peak up at Lauren who is also blushing. She hasn't responded to Dinah.

"Oh no assumptions comments, Lauren?" Normani questions, both hers and Dinah's smirks growing bigger.

"No." She whispers and I can hear happiness in her voice.

"No?" Dinah gasps, putting her hand over her chest over dramatically.

"Why not?" Normani asks curiously, walking closer to us.

"We'll explain when Ally gets home." Lauren tells them simply.

"Okay I guess you can start explaining." Ally's voice appears, causing us all to look in the direction of the doorway where she stands.

"Oh hi." Lauren chuckles as Ally walks into the room.

"Hi." Ally says back as her, Dinah, and Normani take seat on the end of Lauren's bed.

"So you wanna know?" Lauren laughs nervously and the three girls on the end of the bed nod their heads excitedly.

"Well..." Lauren begins, clearing her voice a little. "Camila and I are pretending to date." She tells them and I watch as their faces fall.

"PRETEND?!" They all shout in unison, making me jump and tighten my grip on Lauren.

"Girl i know you're not playing with my Camren heart." Dinah says almost offended.

"Austin won't leave her alone. This will make him go away." Lauren tells them and once again I'm reminded that this will all be over as soon as Austin lays off.

A small sigh escapes my lips and Lauren looks down at me.

"You okay Camzi?" She asks, pushing a strand of hair out of my face and looking me in the eyes.

"Hmm? Yeah I'm good." I force myself to smile up at her and I hear the girls trying to contain the laughter.

"Pretending right..." Ally winks.

"Okay if you say so..." Normani chuckles.

"We'll leave you two... to it..." Dinah smirks as the three get off the bed and walk out without giving us a chance to say another word.

As soon as the door shuts, I look up at Lauren. I open my mouth to say something, but the door suddenly swings back open.

"WAIT AUSTIN STILL ISNT LEAVING YOU ALONE?!" Dinah questions angrily, storming over to Lauren's bed.

"No." I whisper quietly, squeezing Lauren's hand as flashbacks flood my mind.

"I swear I'm gonna chop this little boys dick off if he even fucking has one! It's probably a fucking tic tac. Fucking jackass thinks he's the shit! I'll fucking show him!" Dinah mutters to herself as she paces back and forth with anger dripping from her mouth.

"No Dinah." I protest, hoping she'll calm down.

"MILA. DO. YOU. NOT. UNDERSTAND. We let this go yesterday and we shouldn't have! Now I'm going to personally saw his balls off, put them in a blender, and make him fucking drink them!" Dinah shouts, her right hand balled into a fist while she beats it into her left palm and I swear there is smoke coming out of her ears.

"He came back today, yes. Yes, you should've chopped his balls off yesterday. But you can't fight fire with fire. Austin likes challenges. He likes it when people fight him back, Dinah. But we don't need to fight back physically." I explain to her.

"Mila -" Dinah tries to begin again but I cut her off.

"I have Lauren. It's going to be okay Dinah, trust me." I say, snuggling into Lauren.

She looks at us for a minute before her anger slowly disappears and a smile slowly crosses her face.

"Only because my Camren heart is telling me to." She sighs, finally giving in.

Lauren and I look at each other and laugh. "Whatever you say Dinah." Lauren chuckles.

"It's real." She whispers before slowly backing out the door and closing it.

Lauren laughs and I laugh too, pretending like I wish it really wasn't real. She looks down at me and smiles.

"You really believe you're safe with me Camz?" She asks and I nod.

"I don't have to doubt it for a second." I smile at her and she kisses my head.

"Good." She whispers against my hair before I close my eyes, allowing myself to drift asleep.
