Chapter 35: Noah's Final Threat and So Close Yet So Far

So, to make up for the fact that the girls were jipped out of their victory, they get to duel it out with Noah. I feel like it would be more thematically appropriate for (Y/N) to fight Noah in this case since she and Rain know how Seto is deep down. I own nothing.
Chapter 35: The Queen Makes a Stand

By the time (Y/N) regained consciousness, she was alone with Ori and Rain, Noah and Mokuba nowhere in sight. Ori cooed worryingly as the queen jumped to her feet.
"Rain, please tell me you saw where the boys went."
Her counterpart appeared in spirit form, shaking her head. "Afraid not. I blacked out as soon as I saw that tablet on Noah's monitor."
"Same for me." The queen sighed, gripping her head. "Noah must have slipped out with Mokuba the first chance he got."
"Just what was that?" Rain asked. "That wasn't like your other memories, (Y/N)! And that story you told, just where did that come from?"
"I don't know. Those images, I don't think they're any memories of mine, but that story...it feels like I lived it once, a long time ago, even though I know it isn't true."
"That tablet had our monsters on it. I thought I created my deck because I wanted to build it around Ori, but I always felt this...weird connection between my monsters and me. Is it-,"
"I doubt it's a coincidence." (Y/N) assured. "That knight from the vision, the leader...did you feel it too?"
Rain placed her hand on her chest and nodded. "It's the same feeling you get around Yami, and the same one I get around Yugi. What in the world is happening?"
The queen shook her head. "We can figure that out after we escape this place. For now, we need to find everyone else and get out of here."
"Good idea, but we have no idea where they are or how to even get out of this pocket! If Noah will even let us!"
The queen sighed before eyeing Ori and then glancing at the Millennium Bracelet. "Noah said he had no control over Ori or Kuro. Maybe it's time to see how this world stacks up against their power."
Rain looked at her, a bit scared now. "(Y/N), what are you planning?"
She held up the Millennium Bracelet as dark feathers surrounded Ori. "Rain, take cover. I think I'm about to try something very dangerous."
"I used to be a normal kid." A voice echoed. "A normal kid who had everything."
"Noah?" (Y/N) said, glancing around.
Before her, the image of a happy, smiling boy ran past her. In the blur, she thought she had seen someone else, but blinking, she realized it was Noah. Why was she seeing this all of sudden?
Noah continued to narrate. "As the only child of a multi-billionaire, I was afforded everything luxury known to man."
The smaller Noah was playing happily in a courtyard of a palace as a pair watched from the balcony above, soft smiles on their faces.
...wait no, only Gozaburo was there.
(Y/N) gripped her head as the images of the palace from her previous life and the Kaiba manor blurred into one another, including Noah who seemed to be garbed in the same princely attire Yami would wear when they were children. He seemed to smile at the former queen as the scene changed to his room.
"My father's servants waited on me hand and foot! I was groomed for success from the time I could walk. Mathematicians and scientists from around the globe lined up for the chance to teach me, the son of the world's most powerful man. Musicians, champion athletes, they were all lured to our front door by my father, with the sole purpose of raising me into an educated, well-rounded, future president of Kaiba Corp!"
Again, Noah's memories seemed to blur in with her own memories of the palace, the boy being trained by Wayfarers and royal guards, all while smiling brightly. (Y/N)'s headache only seemed to intensify. The screeching sound of tires brought (Y/N) out of her dazed state and she looked to see Noah in a modern suit, lying motionless on the road. She could only stare, tears escaping her without her noticing.
"My body was rendered useless, but my mind was still sharp as ever, so my father used his company's cutting edge technology to save me."
Again the scene changed to a lab, Noah locked in stasis as he was hooked up to a machine, overseen by Gozaburo and a scientist.
"He linked my mind to a central computer, transforming my brain waves into electromagnetic pulses. Every thought pattern, every memory, every bit of knowledge I had was digitized and downloaded into my father's mainframe computer. It was the end of my former life as a human and the beginning of my new life as a virtual being whose power is limitless! Soon after, you came along."
A car appeared, within it being Seto and Mokuba, revealing that Noah was in fact speaking to the brunette.
"Originally, father adopted you to motivate and challenge me as part of my training, and to entice Carter (L/N). However, taking over Kaiba Corp in my state was no longer a possibility. Although I was extremely powerful in Cyberspace, with no body of my own, I couldn't serve as future president, until now!"
It was then it all clicked into place. Noah's ultimate revenge could only be completed by taking over Seto's body and living the life he thought was stolen from him. Knowing time was of the essence, (Y/N) turned to see Kuro now standing in place of Ori, looking down upon her. She held up her bracelet.
"I have questions for you, but my friends need now. Lend me your strength."
The owl's expression seemed to soften as she nodded, lowering herself to allow the queen to climb on (with great difficulty mind you considering the broken arm). When she was situated, the dread owl spread her wings.
"All right, Kuro. Let's see how much of the sky you truly command."
