Mihir was in the study as he didn't feel like going to his room. Just then his mom, Megha went to him.
"Mihir, I understand your state of mind, but you can't force anyone to love you back. Why didn't you tell us that she was pregnant with Shlok's baby? She has fallen for Shlok and they are having a child together. So he has a right to her since they both love each other. I know it is easier said than done but trust me Whatever happened, it happened for the best. You would not have been happy with her since she was in love with another man and was carrying his baby. We all are a part of this big friend group and it would not have been possible to avoid meeting him and you would have always been in an insecurity that their feelings might rekindle at some time. He would have tried to contact her and their child. It would have become very ugly at one point. " She tried to make him understand.
" Mom, I don't want to talk about all that. " Mihir turned his back towards his mom.
" That's Okay... But we need to talk about Tami. She is a wonderful girl and I have always liked her more as she is sweet, caring, loving, and courteous. And the main thing is that she has had a crush on you. She would definitely make your life beautiful. I really feel that soon you will be the happiest man in the world. But you need to understand that she got married to you all of a sudden so you need to help her in adjusting to our home and married life. She has really done us a favor by getting married to you in that situation. I assured her parents that I would take good care of her. I hope you will keep that in mind and help her adjust to her new life. She needs our love and support. " Megha said. He just nodded.
" It's time for you to go to your room, but remember to be very kind to her. Don't take out your anger on her for what her sister did. She is not responsible for that. I think that Gaurvi is also right at her place, it is better that she refused to get married to you, or both of you would have suffered. " She said.
" Mom, it is awkward... I don't feel like going there. " He said.
" But she is your wife now. You both need to spend some time together to get to know each other. And there are many guests here at home, they would gossip if you don't. Moreover, you need to give time to her, why did you agree to marry her if you can't think of her as your wife? It is not fair to her... She agreed in a minute while her parents were not ready so please take good care of her. Go and make her feel comfortable. " She said firmly. He nodded and went to his room. She went to explain everything to her husband, Mehul, and everyone in the Shah family.
Megha saw that her daughter Mahi was looking for her with many questions in her eyes.
" I know, what you want to ask, but wait for some time, I will explain everything. Call your Dad, Manik, and Ron to the study. " She said to her daughter and Mahi went to call all of them.
In a serene corner of their home, Megha gathered her family members around her, the weight of the recent events evident in her tired eyes yet softened by a sense of determination. As Mehul, Mahi, Ron, and Manik listened intently, she began to speak, her voice steady yet tinged with emotion.
"Mehul, I know this might come as a shock to you, but please hear me out. Today our son got married to Tami, not Gaurvi. "
Her words hang heavy in the air, a testament to the gravity of the situation they find themselves in.
" What?? How? Why? " Manik and Mehul asked in unison. Ron just smiled.
" God!!! He must be very upset, he has always loved Gaurvi. " Manik said getting concerned.
" But she was not in love with him. Actually, Gaurvi had fallen for Shlok, and..... Well, circumstances led her to carry his child. So apparently he came earlier to claim his right to her and his baby, and obviously, she went with him." She said hesitantly.
" What?? She was pregnant with Shlok's baby?? " Both Ron and Manik were shocked to hear it they looked at each other but both were surprised.
" Yes, so there was no point in her getting married to Mihir, she loved Shlok. " She explained. Manik and Ron nodded.
" But why didn't you tell me anything??" Mehul asked.
