Mihir's POV
Mom and Tami were still getting ready when her family arrived. Dad and I welcomed them. Gautam uncle had called half an hour back saying that they had a guest at their home, a very fast friend of Siddh, so it would be awkward for them to leave him behind, so Siddh would not come, but Dad asked uncle to bring his friend as well, of course.
I greeted them and they blessed me. Just then I saw Siddh coming with Sri and a very handsome man. He looked somewhat familiar but I was sure that I didn't know him. They all greeted us and Uncle introduced that man to Dad and me as Dr. Parshav Rajvanshi.
He was the son of Siddharth uncle's best friend Dr. Parth Rajvanshi. And then he introduced Dad as the diamond king of the country and me as Dr. Mihir Shah, the best Neurosurgeon of their hospital, and his son-in-law. We greeted each other.
" So we are going to work at the same place now. " He said.
" Well, I would have loved that, but I have to join my dad's business, he is not keeping well, so Dr Vikram Rathore, has not allowed him to work too much, so I need to join the family business to make him rest," I said politely.
" Oh, I can understand. "
" He has his own multi-specialty hospital in Bikaner but now they want to open an artificial insemination unit as well, to help those couples who can't conceive naturally, with test tube babies. So he has come here to learn the latest technologies used in our hospital. " Uncle said. We were talking when Kapoor also came in. Mom had also come by now.
Uncle, Aunty, Raj, Myra Ron and my sweet sister Mahi came. Mahi rushed to Dad and hugged him first and then Mom and me. I greeted all of them.
Ruhan and his parents already had some plans with the Khanna family, so only Roohi had come. Roohi came and hugged me. I smiled as one of my friends was here and the second one would be here anytime now. I invited him as well as I wanted someone I was very comfortable with.
Well, I thought of the devil and he arrived. He greeted everyone and then hugged me tightly. They both knew how upset I was... I didn't have to pretend anything in front of them.
" Mehul, enough yaar, where is my princess? " Gautam uncle asked getting impatient.
" Have patience, you have already met her today. " Dad teased him.
" Rahul, just see how he teases me using my daughter, you must treat him in the same way, then he will understand. " Gautam uncle said and both Rahul uncle and Dad burst out laughing.
Just then I felt that everyone stopped talking and turned to look at the stairs.
I turned to look there as well and I froze with what I saw.
Tami descended the stairs and looked absolutely gorgeous... Looking like a graceful princess who was making her appearance for the first time at the first ball of the season in the Regency era in London.
Of course, it was not that era, and the dress very much belonged to the twenty-first century. But she looked so elegant and pretty that I could not take my eyes off her.
" Oh, my God!! Is that our little Tami?? " I heard someone say that.
Who said that?
" I don't believe it, myself. " Siddh said.
" Awww... She is looking so pretty. " Priya Aunty was saying.
" After all she is my daughter. " Gautam uncle said.
" Thank God! She didn't inherit your looks. She is an exact copy of your beautiful wife. " Dad said.
" Are you praising our daughter or flirting with my Maurvi? "Gautam's uncle asked with a raised eyebrow.
" Well, think what you want, now you will know the taste of your medicine. You flirted with my wife. " Dad went back to his 28-year-old grudge.
" For god's sake that was 28 years ago, and I didn't know she was your wife. But you are flirting with mine knowing she is my wife. Megha, mind your husband. " Uncle said, Rahul uncle and dad burst out laughing.
" Mehul shut up, or you will sleep on the couch. " Mom said. Dad wrapped his arm around her and kissed her cheek.
All that was going on and I kept ogling her while Sri was rushing towards her. She hugged her while complimenting
Tami and whispered something to her, Tami blushed instantly, looking even more beautiful.
Gosh!! Why was I thinking all that? She is just Tami, the girl who managed to get married to you against your will. You hate her.
Before she could even reach the last stair, Siddh and Parshav went to her and Parshav stretched his hand to hold her hand. She shook her head and smiled at him. To my shock, he placed his hand on his heart and said something.
What did he say???
