Mihir's POV

Gaurvi's expression was torn, torn between her friendship with me and her loyalty to her sister. Siddh and Shlok were still seething, ready to pounce at any moment.

" Mihir, leave!! Please!! I didn't expect this from you. You accepted even my child as yours when you knew that it was his baby. How could you do that to Tami? I am your culprit; we are; why did you make her suffer? She was absolutely innocent. I was happy for her as I thought that she had you now, my best friend. She will have a wonderful life once you cool down. But now I feel that I committed a mistake and my sister had to suffer for it. How could you do to her? She loved you... " Gaurvi said.

" I am sorry I did all that, but I realized my mistake...... I am in love with her now. I didn't... "

" Mihir, if you don't leave right away, I will not be responsible for my reaction," Siddh said.

I didn't call out any other name... I said I love her now not Gaurvi. Maybe she could not hear a few words. "

" Tell this man to leave, Shlok. "  Siddh said, charging at me again, but Gaurvi came in front of me, so Shlok caught Siddh.

Taking a deep breath, I nodded. "I'll go. But I won't give up on her. I'll find a way to make things right." I said and they went inside with Shlok and Siddh standing there to stop me from going inside.

I had no option but to leave from there.

Tami's POV

After about an hour Dad, Mom, Chachu, and Siddh came to meet me. I could see with the expression on their faces that Siddh had already told them everything.

" Tami, did Mihir send you divorce papers? " Dad asked. I didn't want to say anything.

" Why didn't you tell me or your Mom? How can you think of tolerating all this by yourself? We are still alive, aren't we?"

" Mehul uncle got a heart attack because he saw the papers and he was very upset with him and threatened to disown him. "

" So? He deserves to be disowned for treating you like that. "

" Dad, he never treated me badly."

" Sending you divorce papers and threatening you about ruining your life is considered as treating you badly. Why didn't you just come back immediately."

" Dad, please calm down! "

" Calm down? I want to have his head on the platter. Siddh, call him here; I will teach him a lesson; he will never forge. " Dad said.

" No, Dad, please!! Not here. " I said and Mom nodded and said the same almost immediately.

" Fine! But you are not going to Shah Mansion now. He wanted a divorce, now he will get it. " Dad said.

Third person's POV

Gautam's heart raced as he dialed Mehul's number, the phone rang several times before Mehul answered, his voice filled with surprise and concern.

"Hey, Gautam! " He replied.

"Mehul, I need to talk to you urgently. It's about Mihir and Tami."  he began, his tone grave.

Mehul's mind raced with worry. "Gautam, what happened? Is Tami okay?"

Gautam took a deep breath, steadying himself. "Tami is fine physically, but emotionally she's devastated. Mihir........." He explained everything.

Mehul was stunned into silence for a moment. He knew Mihir had been struggling with personal issues, but this was beyond anything he had imagined. "Gautam, I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say."

"Mehul, I gave my daughter's hand in marriage to your son as I care for you and I trusted him." Gautam continued urgently. " But I've decided to take Tami back home with us. We're going to proceed with the divorce." He said firmly.

Mehul's heart sank. He couldn't believe Mihir had acted so rashly. "Gautam, please, let me talk to Mihir. Maybe I can convince him to make things right."

Gautam hesitated for a moment, torn between his concern for Tami and his friendship with Mehul. "Mehul, I appreciate your concern for Mihir, but Tami's well-being is my priority now. We've already made our decision."

Mehul's voice hardened with determination. "Gautam, I understand. Please take care of Tami. I'll talk to Mihir and see what I can do."

Mihir's POV

I went away from there but I stayed nearby. I wanted to talk to Tami. I waited, standing there, shattered, as they led Tami away.

" Tami, I need to talk to you... I am sorry." I said, going to her, but she just glanced back at me once, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and determination. It felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest, but I knew I had brought this upon myself.

" Siddh, take her outside, I need to talk to him. " Uncle said, she didn't say anything and went away with her family. I just kept standing watching her leave.

Gautam uncle confronted me sternly. " I've spoken to your father. He's deeply disappointed in your actions. I've already told him that I am taking Tami to our family home and proceed with the divorce."

My face paled, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Uncle, please... I love Tami. I made a terrible mistake, but I want to make things right."

His expression remained firm. "Mihir, your words now ring hollow. You've betrayed our trust. I allowed her to get married to you against my will, as I had faith in you... But now I will not repeat the same mistake. Get lost before I lose my temper. "  He said clenching his fist again.

With that, I turned and walked away, my heart heavy with regret and determination. I knew it would take more than words to win Tami back. It would take actions, consistent and genuine, to prove my love and earn her trust again.

As I left the hospital, I vowed to myself that I would do whatever it took to make things right. I had to show Tami that she was my everything and that I would never take her for granted again. The road ahead was uncertain and filled with challenges, but I was ready to face them head-on.

********

I went home and saw my family was very tense. My dad yelled at me and mom was also very upset. Ron and Mahi also came and got to know what had happened between us even though they were upset with me.

" I am disgusted with what you said to her. Gautam is right, you don't deserve her. She is too good for you. "

For the next two days, I tried everything to contact Tami, to apologize, to explain. But her family was adamant. They blocked me and my number on all social network sites refused to let me see her and started the divorce proceedings without delay.
