What Love Really Is

Chapter 4

ROSE'S POV
I woke up to the smell of bacon. I sat up in bed for a few minutes before getting up an actually doing anything. I got up and put on a floral print crop top and some jean shorts with my black vans. I brushed my teeth and hair and walked downstairs. I walked into the kitchen so see Grandma making bacon and French toast.
"Good morning!" I smiled as I hopped up onto the counter.
"Good morning dear." grandma replied.
"Where is grandfather at? I never heard him come back yesterday." Grandfather still works at the ministry he just doesn't want to quit. He was supposed to retire a few years ago but he refused.
"Late night ministry work, he should be back around noon." I nodded and turned to the pantry. I got some powdered sugar and syrup for the French toast and set it down on the table for me and Grandma. All of my aunts and uncles have already moved out so now it's jut Grandma and Grandfather. I helped with setting the table and bringing the food in. I sat down across from Grandma and started piling on the bacon.
"Are you and grandfather coming with us to Kings Cross?" She nodded and swallowed the food she had in her mouth.
"Of course!" I smiled.
"I can to introduce you to my friend!" Grandma smiled at my reaction.
"Of course dear!" I smile then frown.
"What's wrong sweetheart?"
I had just remembered something.
"What if Dad doesn't approve of Scorpius because of his dad? I know Dad and his dad always hated each other back when they went to Hogwarts!" Grandma seeing my concern reached across the table to grab my hand.
"It will be fine love, I will talk to him." I nod and finish eating. When we finish eating I go upstairs and grab Scorpius's hoodie and meet Grandma at the fireplace. She has me step in with her and we go together to my house. We fly out of the fireplace in the kitchen where everybody is eating. I land flat on my feet and smirk at my brothers and help grandma dust herself off. I walked over to Mum and Dad and gave each a kiss on the cheek and went upstairs to get packing. I usually take a whole day to pack because I don't wear the actual uniform. I just wear normal clothes with robes over them. I started packing when there was a knock on the door. I turn and tell "Come in!" and then go back to packing making sure I make a list of everything I put in to make sure everything is still there, and to make sure everything I need is in my trunk tomorrow and then I won't be rushing to get everything done.
"Rose, Can we talk?" I turn to see Albus and the rest of my cousins standing there. I roll my eyes and nod.
"We're sorry about yesterday. We judged Scorpius off his dad and we failed to realized that they are different people and have different ideas and personalities." Fred spoke quietly from the back. I looked at all of them who had their heads bowed in shame.
"It's okay, I will forgive you. But you have to let him sit with us at the feast tomorrow and you must be nice to him and accept him." they all nodded.
"Now go get packing so we aren't running around like escaped chickens." They all laughed, nodding.
"Race ya!" Albus screamed.
"You're on!" I sneered.
