Chapter 18: Encountering Cell

After a while, Piccolo battled Android Seventeen until they encountered Cell. They tried their best to take him down, but Cell easily beat them down as he eventually knocked out Piccolo almost killing him in the process. Now it was up to the androids to stop them. Unfortunately, Android Seventeen got absorbed as they thought Cell was defeated. Cell has now become semi-perfect before he would chase after Android Eighteen.

At the same time, when Piccolo was defeated and Android Seventeen was absorbed, Gohan couldn't help but sense danger but realized Piccolo was defeated.

"Oh, no! Mr. Piccolo!" Gohan panicked.

"What's wrong, Gohan?" Serenity asked, worried. She walked up to him and saw what was up.

"It's Mr. Piccolo...! H-He got defeated! He's probably dead just now!" Gohan cried out.

Serenity started to feel bad for the little boy she called him her son. She knew he had bonded to Piccolo ever since he was a child when he had trained with Piccolo. Of course, Gohan had told her that when they were training.

Then she put her hand on his shoulder, giving him an encouraging smile. "Don't be sad, Gohan. I'll bring him back."

"R-Really?"

She nodded. "Let's see what I can do by saving him."

Before she could teleport, she was stopped by Goku.

"Chichi, no! You can't go there! It's too dangerous!" Goku said, grabbing her by the wrist.

"Don't worry, Goku. I'll be back to get Piccolo. I promised Gohan for this. Now let me handle this." As she pulled her hand away, she quickly teleported away thanks to her husband's tricks.

So Serenity arrived in time to rescue Piccolo when she saw Tien had taken Cell down before Krillin and Trunks could get Android Eighteen and Android Sixteen to safety. She pulled Piccolo out of the water and quickly teleported away before Cell noticed Serenity.

This woman!? What is she doing here!? When Cell was about to attack them, but he halted when he saw Serenity's face. He saw her glaring at him.

"Take one more step or you will die," Serenity warned him as she showed him her brooch alongside the Silver Crystal.

Cell didn't say anything until Serenity teleported away with Piccolo.

Eventually, Serenity returned to the Lookout after rescuing Piccolo. She put him on the ground and checked him to see him he was still alive. Checking his pulse, she could tell he was still alive.

She sighed in relief. Thank goodness...

"Mom... a-are you going to heal M-Mr. Piccolo?" Gohan sobbed as he couldn't help but cry.

"Don't worry, kiddo. I'll take care of him." Serenity promised him. Then she used the Silver Crystal to heal Piccolo's injuries just like she had healed Goku's heart virus.

When he was getting, Piccolo felt relief when he was no longer injured. He groaned as he sat up, rubbing his head.

"What happened?" Piccolo asked.

"Piccolo! You're okay!" Gohan cried out as he tackled him into a hug.

Piccolo let out a smile as he hugged him back. "Hey there, kiddo."

"Welcome back, Piccolo," Goku greeted him, smiling.

Lyanna the cat appeared. "It's great to see you back."

Piccolo looked over his shoulder at Serenity, smiling a bit at her. "Thanks, Chichi."

Serenity nodded. "It's no big deal. If I didn't save you, you would die out there."

Piccolo tried to figure out about Serenity's secret since he had seen her transformation and knew everything about this.

I still need to figure out who you are, Piccolo thought.

"Hey, Piccolo, wanna train with us in the Hyber Time Chamber?" Goku asked excitedly.

"I'd rather train alone. No, thank you." Piccolo said.

Goku sighed. "Fair enough."
