Peter still couldn't believe what had just happened in Mount Justice as he swung around the city.

That's something I'll never be part of again. It felt so... real.

He remembered Artemis dying in front of him. The feeling of... powerlessness; unable to stop her from being disintegrated.

It felt like Gwen all over again.

NO. No, Peter. Not this again. It's been almost a year. Move. On.

He landed on a large glass window on a building. Why did she go that far out anyway. She was supposed to stay close! She never listens!

He sighed and leaned his head against the window. Just calm down... Breath... It was all just a simulation. Just a simulation.

He looked at his reflection in the mirror. But if it could happen there... it could happen here... I need to be better. I NEED to be a better Spider-Man... And this suit will help me do just that... Huh. He only then noticed how different the suit looked now. Don't you look new now.

Then suddenly in the mirror, he noticed far off into the distance a group of people with glowing white and black weapons

Then suddenly in the mirror, he noticed far off into the distance a group of people with glowing white and black weapons.

Mister Negative...

He spun around to face the direction. This time... I'm getting one of you guys to talk. Then we'll have some fun.

As he neared the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Peter's eyes narrowed. On the rooftop, he spotted them: Mister Negative's henchmen, their black-and-white weapons glowing ominously in the night. They moved with purpose, clearly preparing for something big. Peter knew this was his chance to strike, to take them down and get the information he needed.

Without hesitation, Spider-Man launched himself off a nearby building, twisting in mid-air as he fired a web line towards the museum's roof.

Spider-Man perched on the ledge of the museum, his eyes locked on the group of Mister Negative's henchmen below. The memory of the simulation still gnawed at him, but tonight, he had a chance to take back control. He clenched his fists, the new suit clinging to his form like a second skin. It was time to make these guys pay.

He launched himself off the ledge, flipping through the air before landing silently behind one of the goons. The man didn't even have time to react before Peter delivered a swift elbow to the back of his neck, sending him crashing to the ground. The others turned, their eyes widening as they realized what was happening.

Before they could raise their weapons, Spider-Man was already moving. He darted forward, his enhanced speed making him a blur as he closed the distance. One of the henchmen swung a glowing staff at him, but Peter ducked under it and countered with a punch to the man's gut, following it up with a roundhouse kick that sent him sprawling.
