Midorima's cellphone was stolen again by none other than his annoying acquaintance, Takao. It was an early Saturday morning, and Takao thought it would be funny to take Midorima's phone the moment he was going to find out what today's lucky item was. After chasing him around, Midorima finally got a hold of his phone again. Takao practically gave it to him after laughing so hard, his grasp on it was loose and he held it out for Midorima to take it back. Once Midorima flipped his phone back open and searched for the lucky item, his eyes have widened and he couldn't hold in his surprised gasp.

How could this be?

After hesitating, Midorima sent someone a text message, in which the receiver responded to almost immediately. It seemed like a rather awkward question to ask, but Midorima knew he would go along with it to see how it played out. He had too.

Some time passed and Midorima received a text message to meet him near the basketball courts that were near Seirin high school. Midorima agreed, and closed his phone with a large sigh and the push of his glasses. For some reason, Takao has disappeared.

The basketball courts were not very far, and, when Midorima arrived, he already spotted the blue haired boy with a caramel hair colored girl, standing outside one of the courts. Midorima appraoched cautiously.

"Hello Kuroko, and hello, Riko-san, is it?" Midorima said, sounding gentleman like,

"Hello Midorima-kun." Kuroko said in his usual quiet voice.

"Midorima-kun." Riko said.

"Coach, this is the person that said he wanted to meet up with you." Kuroko said. Riko's eye twitched.

"Is. . . that so?" Riko said with a quivering voice.

"Yes. Thank you for bringing her Kuroko, I will now take her with me." Midorima said, beginning to walk in the opposite direction of him.

"T-take me? What are you talking about? You didn't even tell me why you wanted to see me in the first place!" Riko exclaimed.

"That is correct, pardon me. As you can see, I checked my lucky item for today and, as strange as it sounds, Riko Aida was today's item for caners." Midorima said.

Both Riko and Kuroko held dumbfounded looks, Riko looking the most radical.

"Eh. . . EH?!" Riko finally gasped. "Is that even possible?! Why?!"

"I do not question fate. But yes, I am as surprised as you. But if you are my lucky item, then I have to bring you with me." Midorima said, pushing up his glasses.

"In your dreams! I'm not going to follow you around! Kuroko, I'm going home." Riko angrily said, already marching away. Midorima was actually surprised. He exchanged glances with Kuroko.

"Kuroko, would you help me convince your coach to-"

"You're on your own Midorima." Kuroko said.

"What? What do you mean-" Midorima couldn't finish his sentence because he just realized that Kuroko was no longer there. He looked at the direction in which Riko took off and barely caught a glimpse of her caramel head as she disappeared from view. Midorima clenched his fist, walking after her.

"Riko-san, would you please wait." Midorima called after her, trying to catch up.

"So now you're following me?" Riko snapped at him when he finally reached her.

"Look, I can't go a day without my lucky item. It would be. . .unlucky for me." Midorima breathed lightly. He did jog a bit to catch up to her after all.

"Well perhaps fate isn't taking your side today because I'm walking away still." Riko said, not looking back at him. Midorima scowled. This girl may be smart, but she's really ignorant. The more he waited, the further she got away from him. Midorima was still having trouble comprehending why she was his lucky item for today, but he knew better than to question his fate. He decided to straighten out, and reach out to her one more time.

"Riko-san." he said, dominance written all over him.

Riko actually stopped and turned around. She arched a brow at the menacing looking, glasses wearing teen. He dared to stop her one more time. She was ready to hear what he had to say but she knew she was immediately going to reject it anyway, there was no way in a million years that she was going to follow this person everywhere just to fulfill his wish. The thought of following him around made her grimace.

"Yes, this may seem silly to you but I believe that our lives are already fated. If you could please spend today with me, it would be the last time I will ever ask you to do this again. I'll even do anything you planned on doing today, I just need to be near you." Midorima knew that if someone else was to butt in at this point of the conversation, it would have sounded as if Midorima was in love with her. That wouldn't end up well.

Riko sighed. She knew she would regret this, but he sounded like he was begging even though he didn't look like he was begging. "You do as I say, got it?" Riko commanded.

"Of course." Midorima said, relieved to know that he would have his lucky item for today.

Riko had plans to visit a sports shop and pick up books and such on muscle building. Midorima quietly followed, but questioned some of the books Riko picked up. She explained to him howher eyes analyze bodies, seeing their stats and how well they can perform.

"Midorima you should try doing these, your back could use some working out." Riko said, pointing at an exercise in one of the books.

"Did you just analyze me? And. .  does it?" he asked hesitantly. There were surprisingly a lot of things Midorima didn't know about himself that Riko pointed out about him. He listened carefully as she explained to him to level of strength and muscle he currently has in his back, compared to how much he should have. A few times did Midorima accidentally get too close to Riko as she explained, which resulted in her stepping back and complaining to him about it. When Midorima accidentally got too close for the fifth time, Riko secretly allowed it.

As the pair was inside the store, Takao was sneakingly peeking through the window, watching their interactions. He pulled out his phone and began to text his fellow Shutoku teammates:

"Guys! He totally bought it! He has no clue I added the picture of Seirin's coach onto his phone!"
