... February 14th... Renee is in Los Angeles – Week four of the tour

Max's POV

Renee hold her hand out for me. What is she doing ? I step on stage, everyone is yelling, I'm so confused, what is happening ?

My pulse quickens as I glance out at the sea of people. The bright lights sear into my eyes, and the noise, the cheers, the clapping—it's all too much. I feel the familiar wave of anxiety rising in my chest.

But then, I feel her fingers slip through mine, warm and grounding. Renee's hand pulls me forward, redirecting my focus back to her. She forces me to turn away from the crowd, guiding my stare back to her. The moment I meet her eyes, a calm washes over me, quieting the noise in my head. The crowd, the lights, the overwhelming buzz—it all fades into the background and it feels like it's just us for a second.

I exhale slowly, trying to steady my breathing. Renee gives me a small, encouraging smile, the kind that says, 'I've got you'.

I notice Towa stepping onto the stage from behind, carrying a stool. Renee glances at her briefly, silently communicating something before turning back to me. Towa sets the stool next to Renee's, and suddenly it becomes clear—I'm supposed to sit.

Before I have a chance to fully process, Renee gently tugs me toward the stool, guiding me into it.

"Close your eyes angel" she whispers.

I obey, shutting my eyes, even though my mind is still spinning with questions.

I hear the soft creak of the stage as Renee steps away, her fingers slipping from mine.

Okay, guys," Renee's voice rings out through the speakers, louder now, addressing the audience. "This is also a little Valentine's Day gift for you."

There's a ripple of excitement in the crowd, whispers and gasps growing louder. I feel the air shift, as if something big is about to happen.

Suddenly, I hear another set of footsteps approaching the stage. They're quieter, but familiar somehow, as though I've heard them before in a different context. My heart flutters nervously. Then, a voice I recognize too well fills the room.

"Hey, everyone," the voice is unmistakable, smooth and melodic, it can't be.

Everyone in the room goes crazy, yelling so loud I have to cover my ears.

My hands clench slightly in my lap, and I have to bite my lip to keep from gasping. Everything in me screams to open my eyes, to see if my suspicions are right. But I have to wait until Ray tells me it's okay. It's taking every ounce of self-control not to peek.

Just when I think I can't wait any longer I hear Renee whisper in my ear again "Alright, angel... you can open your eyes now."

I snap my eyes open just in time to see Billie Eilish standing beside Renee, a microphone in her hand and a soft smile on her face. It's not real, no it's not possible. I don't need to say anything. The look on my face says it all.

Renee catches my gaze and flashes a playful smile before speaking into her mic. "So, I thought I'd get a little help from someone special to make this day unforgettable. Happy Valentine's Day and Happy birthday my love"
