Getting along

Vee and Dandy ( Platonic, with a tad of angst )

Election day is coming up and I'm getting nervous chat..

I'm sensing another civil war 😰

"W-WELL I DON'T NEED YOU EITHER!" Dandy screamed as he slammed the door on Astro's face, the two had gotten into an argument before the show and Dandy had let his temper boil.

Vee peared around the corner, having heard the previous fight before. She cleared her throat, getting Dandy's attention; Dandy sat on the floor – his legs crossed as fat tears flowed down his face.

"i-I don't have time for your mockery! Leave me alone, Vee." Dandy put his head in his hands, trying to desperately cover himself from Vee's gaze.

Vee frowned – usually she would be laughing at this pathetic scene, I mean, it was Dandy! She had dreamed of days like this! To see him vulnerable! But she didn't get that feeling of relief, no. She felt bad for him.

"I.. I'm not here to make fun of you. I heard the whole ordeal with Astro.." Vee said as she sat down next to Dandy, she brought her knees up to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them.

"J-just pretend you didn't hear that–" "Are you okay, Dandy?" Dandy pulled his hands away from his eyes and stared at Vee, he was confused; she surely wanted something, right? There's no way she would be kind to him for no reason.

"I know that I wasn't involved in the fight but you sounded really stressed. This is a one time thing so don't get used to it – but I just wanted to know if you were doing alright." Vee rambled a bit, she stared at Dandy – never losing his gaze.

"I'm doing alright.. J-just worked up, you know?" Dandy slightly smiled, he stood up and reached his hand down to Vee; pulling her up once she grabbed his hand.

He brought her into a one-sided hug, squeezing a bit before pulling away.

"Thank you Vee, hopefully we get along better in the future." Dandy whispered as he turned towards the show-room door.

"Don't get used to it! I-i was just showing pity! I don't care for you or anything–" "Sure Vee, a one time thing."

Dandy walked out, slightly giggling; clearly in a better mood than before.

Vee cracked a small smile and turned the other direction.

She wouldn't mind hanging out with him more.
