Wet footsteps echoed throughout the alley way, they were aggressive and had no rhythm.

"Hurry! They're gaining on us!" A female voice said as she turned the corner desperately; slightly hitting the trashcan that was near the edge.

"SHUT UP IM TRYING!" A male replied this time, he leaped on the ledge – almost knocking over due to the weight of the coins in his hands.

The girl sighed and helped him up, immediately running again after he was stable.

"There's the ship!" The girl jumped down after saying this and sprinted towards it, the guy on the other hand fumbled a bit but eventually caught up. They both landed on the ship as it pulled away; "Finally. My hands were getting tired." Shrimpo put down the treasure and sighed.

"You're just weak–" "Erm? I didn't see YOU carrying anything." They continued to tell at eachother, not noticing their Captain approaching them.

"Poppy, Shrimpo! Get yourselves together!" They both shut up and stood tall. "S-sorry Captain Dandy! Won't happen again!" Poppy grabbed Shrimpo's shoulders and dragged him away.

Shrimpo huffed and allowed himself to be dragged, not having the energy to fight back. They ran into Boxten – who just stared at them disappointingly. "You two need to stop goofing around."

Poppy rolled her eyes and let go of Shrimpo. "Or, you need to learn how to have fun." Poppy placed her hands on her hips and looked at the water – a grin forming on her face.

"i-Im fun! You guys are just.. extreme." Boxten retorted as he crossed his arms and looked off to the side.

Shrimpo rolled his eyes and pointed towards a random direction, "Look it's Rodger!" Boxten immediately fixed his posture and looked around flustered. "W-where?!" Shrimpo burst out laughing as he pointed towards Boxten.

"Fucking dumbass!" Boxten playfully hit him on the forehead and scoffed; getting ready to call Shrimpo immature but was interrupted by Poppy clearing her throat as she leaned down on the railing.

"Do you guys remember.. the old tale – Sirens of the deep..?" Poppy forced her voice to be low as she slowly approached the two; "AUGH. I hate that old tale!" Shrimpo said as he slightly stomped on the ground.

"Poppy, we don't care about some children story." Poppy grinned and stepped closer. "Hm? How do you know it's just a 'tale'? Could be real! The world's a huge place, you know."

Poppy swayed a bit as she said this; she turned around and watched as the island got smaller the more the ship moved away.

Shrimpo groaned and stood next to her, "Stop hanging out with Gigi. She's making you think weird." Poppy rolled her eyes and sighed; "Whatever you say, Shittypo"

Shrimpo stared at her before stomping away – tired of tolerating her bull shit. He went down into the worker's cabinets and rested on his bed; he closed his eyes and forced himself to go to sleep.

He was done socializing for the day.

He fell out of his bed with a thud, heavy footsteps making the room echo from above – he groaned and ran out of the cabin;  he watched the chaos unfold around him, the heavy rain blurring his vision a bit.
