unimpressive actions

Party time!

I was given a plot for this - Boxten hosts a party ( hooray ) and Poppy and Glisten fight over him ( there's more but I'm not trying to spoil too much. )

The words 'party' were painted sloppily on a piece of paper that hung loosely above a door frame. Boxten was hosting a party! The snacks were ready, the music was prepared and the games were planned! Boxten stared at his hard work proudly, surely everyone would get along and play nicely! Right?

No, because Poppy and Glisten had other plans.

Boxten smiled at the toons dancing like fools on the dance floor, people actually came to his party! And they were enjoying it! "BOXTEN! BOXTEN!" Boxten turned his face and was met with Yatta's crazed eyes. "OH! Oh.. hi.. Yatta!." Boxten nervously replied as Yatta bounced around like a child "THIS PARTY IS AWESOME! You must host more."

Boxten backed up and threw up a thumbs up "I'll uh .. keep that in mind for future reference!" He walked away and plumped down on a beanbag chair, staring at the time; he realized that it was getting close to ten It didn't feel like the party had lasted the long but in reality, it had been two hours.

"Hiii Boxtennn!" Poppy jumped out of nowhere; scaring Boxten. "H-hi Poppy! Didn't see you there!" Boxten was dragged up by Poppy and led somewhere else "C'mon! I wanna show you how good I am at throwing darts!" Boxten didn't bother fighting back - he was sat on a stool while Poppy started loading up on darts.

"Okay! Now watch.. THIS!" She threw it with pride, only to frown when it didn't even hit the target. "I was just warming up! Time for the real talent! Make sure not to blink-" a dart was ripped out of her hand and thrown at the target - bullseye.

Glisten smirked and winked at Boxten. "You do know that you're supposed to HIT the target, right Poppy?" Glisten taunted her and grabbed onto Boxten; dragging him up and interlinking their arms "C'mon Boxy, let's go somewhere more.. pleasant." He glared at Poppy and walked away.

Poppy crossed her arms and thought about another way to get Boxten's attention. "HEYA POPPY!" Poppy smiled and turned towards Goob "HI GOOB!"

"THIS PARTY IS AMAZING!" Goob spun around; his googily eyes spinning around. "Why are you guys screaming." Vee muttered as she pushed past them; heading for the door to leave.

"I wonder what her problem was- Poppy? Something wrong?" Poppy shook her head no and sighed "I tried to impress Boxten but Glisten came out of nowhere and stole him from me!" Poppy sat down on the stool Boxten was previously sitting on and pouted Goob frowned and noticed the snack table. He extended his arm over and grabbed a hand full of cookies, he shoved them in his mouth and gave the remaining one to Poppy.

"Jushbeshyourselfh!" Goob talked with his mouth open as he continued to chow down on cookies. Poppy smiled and stood up "Thanks Goob! You're right! I'll talk to you later!" Goob watched Poppy run off and gulped, nearly choking.

"And then he acted like I wasn't even there!" Glisten ranted on about his ( in his words ) 'dreadful' experience with Dandy, Boxten just nodded his head and yawned "I'm getting tired.." Glisten stared at him before smiling "I can get Astro to give you good dreams!" Boxten blushed at the mention of Astro's name and woke up quickly "Y-you don't have to do that!" Glisten raised an eyebrow-

Poppy jumped out of nowhere once more and smiled at the two "Hello guys! Me and my BESTFRIEND need to have a BESTFRIEND meeting, which means only WE need to talk.. ALONE!" Poppy sneered at Glisten and dragged Boxten away once more "C'mon."

Glisten sat there flabbergasted as he watched Poppy drag him away, Boxten furrowed his eyebrows and stopped Poppy from pulling him. "No.."

"What? What did you say Boxten-"

"I said No!" Boxten pulled away and glared at Poppy before motioning for Glisten to come here. "I'm tired! I'm tired of you both ' fighting ' for me! How about you both leave!" Boxten motioned towards the door, leaving Poppy heartbroken and Glisten shocked. "You can't do this to us!" Boxten interrupted Glisten by pushing them both towards the door.

"Please just leave! I don't wanna cause a scene.." Glisten was forced out of the door along with Poppy; who was starting to cry mini bubbles.

"I'm.. I'm glad that's over.." Boxten sighed sadly, as much as he loved them; he couldn't handle them fighting over him.

It was just too much.

He felt something touch his face and realized it was a cookie, Goob was magically beside him and grinned. "It'll make you feeellll betterrrr" Goob walked off; Boxten looked down at the cookie before taking a small bite.

" . . I do feel better actually.."
