Summary: The reader meets couple Handong and Gahyun when they venture into her workplace.

It was slow at your bar, which was unsurprising. It was early on a Monday evening, and there was nothing special planned. Your sole employee for the night, Kim Yoohyeon, would show up later; since you'd told her to take her time coming in. You just kept yourself busy with reorganizing shelves and washing glasses – that was, when the TV didn't distract you.

Since sports held little of your interest and you were momentarily alone, you'd turned on a horror flick that was playing a couple channels over. It was only an average film, but it was certainly more entertaining than football, so you'd left it on. You weren't yet sure of the plot, but had seen enough blood and guts to keep you checking back on its development.

As the doorbell finally announced the arrival of a patron, you reached for the remote. But when your eyes landed on the two women who'd just stepped inside, you completely forgot all about what it was you were doing.

They were clearly a couple, as evidenced by the way that the shorter girl clung to the taller one. The former had long lavender hair, the latter dark blue. Your bar wasn't specifically a queer one, and such couples weren't a common sight in your rural community, so it was safe to say that they and their flamboyant appearance – dyed hair aside, they also were covered in piercings and wore dangerously short minidresses that were sparkly and star-patterned, respectively – caught your attention.

They didn't seem to notice the TV as they sat down in front of you, and besides, it was long gone from your memory.

"A Bloody Mary, please," the lavender-haired woman spoke.

"And for you?"

"You know what? That sounds good. Make that two."

"Coming right up, ladies." Since it was only the three of you in the bar, you decided that it would be awkward not to make conversation. "Visiting the area?" you asked as you opened the fridge under the counter.

"Just moved here, actually," the taller woman spoke. "I'm Han Dong – you can call me like that, Handong – and this is Lee Gahyun, my wife."

You returned an introduction of your own as you uncorked the bottle of Bloody Mary mix, adding, "Nice to meet you both."

"Likewise," Gahyun spoke. "Nice bar you have here."

You beamed at that. She certainly knew the way to your heart – your bar was your pride and joy. You'd built it and its customer base from the ground up. "Thank you. It's a labor of love."

"You're the owner?" Handong confirmed. You slid her a glass, nodding, and gave Gahyun hers as you replied.

"Yep, for three years now. Transformed the whole place myself."

"That's great." Gahyun looked around. "And how – how has business been?"

You chuckled. "Don't worry, not normally this slow. Actually, we've been doing quite well. Only two bars in the area, so we get a fair amount of patrons."

"Well, we look forward to adding to that number," Handong replied.

You grinned at her. "Thank you very much. It's nice to have – well, some...diversity here."

Handong chuckled. "Yes, we're noticing a lack of couples like us in the area."

You smiled, pointing to the rainbow flag on the wall next to you with your free hand as you put back the bottle with the other. "That may be so, but I've never had any complaints about me being myself. Just because there's a lack doesn't mean that there's a prejudice, fortunately."
