Chapter 47
Mikha Lim.
I was in the middle of discussing something with Ate Colet when Gwen suddenly appeared out of nowhere, looking frantic. Her eyes darted around as if searching for someone.
"Have you seen Sheena? I can't find her anywhere," she asked, her voice laced with urgency.
Colet and I exchanged a glance, both caught off guard by the sudden question. Before I could respond, Mikki, who had been lounging nearby, casually chimed in.
"I saw her," Mikki said nonchalantly, a smirk playing on his lips. "She's with Aiah, Maloi, and… Stacey."
The moment that last name left Mikki's mouth, chaos erupted.
Jhoanna, who had been quietly sipping her coffee on the couch, suddenly choked and spit it out in shock. "Stacey?!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide as she grabbed a napkin to clean the mess.
Ate Colet furrowed. "Tulog si Maloi, Mikki.. bago ako umalis sa room namin natutulog siya." kalmadong sabi nito.
I couldn't help but frown as I processed what Mikki had just said. "What do you mean Aiah is with them?" I asked, trying to keep my tone calm but firm.
Mikki shrugged, clearly enjoying the reaction he'd caused. "Exactly what I said. I saw them earlier heading out together. Didn't think much of it at the time."
Gwen's expression darkened as she folded her arms over her chest. "And you didn't think to stop them? Or tell me?"
Ate Colet let out a small sigh, leaning back in her chair. "They're adults, Gwen. We can't monitor their every move." balewalang sabi pa niya.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to hold back my bubbling frustration. The last thing we need right now is Aiah stirring up trouble—or worse, dragging Stacey and Sheena into whatever it is she's up to that actually involves Maloi.
Gwen turned to Ate Colet, her worry etched on her face. "What time is it?" tanong pa niya kay Ate Colet.
Ate Colet glanced at her watch, her expression calm. "It's 7 PM." kibit-balikat na sagot pa niya at bigla siyang natigilan.
The moment Ate Colet realized it was already evening, panic visibly set in. Her usual composed demeanor was gone, replaced by pure anxiety. "Oh my God, it's already night, and those four are still out!" she exclaimed, pacing back and forth.
I stood up, already grabbing my jacket. "Let's go. We're going to find them. I don't feel comfortable waiting any longer."
But Jhoanna, still lounging on the couch after her earlier coffee incident, held up a hand. "Hold on, Mikha. How are you planning to find them? We don't even know where they went." medyo worried na ang boses niya.
She had a point, and I paused, frustrated. Before I could respond, Mikki, who seemed to always find humor in any situation, leaned back in his chair with a teasing smirk. "Saan ba pumupunta ang mga babae kapag bored?" he asked, his voice laced with mischief.
