Happiness

It comes in warm waves through my body
My breath stutters in my chest
I mimic the stars spiraling overhead

It infects my mind
I loose all coherency and sense
I am a car crash waiting to happen

It comes when least expected
It's coats my skin like a pseudo armor
I come with a new warning: Combustable

It permeates my dreams
Hanging on my lips, lingering on my tongue
I have become a marionette in my own life

It terrifies me
Sitting heavy on my stomach, squeezing my heart
I wish to be numb

It comes and goes
Like a bad lover I can't resist
I want this but I'm petrified of what I'll become when it leaves me alone and listless
