Lilith creeps around a corner, both swords in her hands. Her fingers tightly gripped around them, afraid that something might catch her off guard. She stays silent. Her ears listening for any slight movement. The area around her is slightly familiar. Its pristine feel and look resembles the Capitol. That's where she must be. Although, it's not exactly the same. There are craters and cracks that plague the streets. Rubble from bombs and other explosions make a mess of the major traffic areas.
The buildings are broken and on the verge of collapsing. Everything looks out of place. Lilith hears a loud bang from somewhere around her. She feels her heart rate spike. It begins pounding in her head. She keeps her swords at the ready as she goes to investigate. The scene around her transforms into a room with all white walls and floors. Her swords are gone from her hands. She looks around and sees Snow standing at the far end of the room.
"We'll get you back, don't you worry," His voice echoes through the room.
Lilith's eyes spring open with a gasp. She sits up straight and sees that she's in her and Finnick's room. She sighs deeply as she places her head in her hands. It has been days since her and Katniss made some sort of peace. The Mockingjay seems to be healing well, physically at least. Finnick stirs beside her and sits up. He places his arm around her and touches her hand lightly.
"Everything okay?" He asks quietly. She takes her head out of her hands and glances over at Finnick. She nods and smiles at him softly. "Are you sure?"
"It was just a stupid dream," Lilith replies.
"I get them too, you know," Finnick says. "You're not alone. You never will be."
Lilith smiles and places her head on Finnick's shoulder. She relishes in small moments like this she gets with Finnick. She never takes them for granted, knowing how easily it can all be taken from her. Just like how easily Silas was taken from her. There are so many things she wishes she could do with him or tell him. So many regrets...
"Lils?" Finnick questions abruptly.
She lifts her head and looks at him. "Yeah?"
He ponders for a moment before breaking out into a grin. "Marry me."
"What?" Lilith says breathlessly. She wonders whether she heard him right or not. There is no way he wants to get married, especially not now. Especially not with her.
"Marry me," He says once more. His eyes filled with nothing but love and adoration for the woman beside him.
"Really?" She asks. "You're being serious?"
"So serious," Finnick states. Lilith breaks out into a smile, which causes Finnick to smile. "So is that a yes?"
"Yes!" Lilith squeals, wrapping her arms around Finnick's neck. She pulls him close as happy giggles escape her lips.
Finnick grins and buries his face into Lilith's shoulder.
"You had me worried for a second," He laughs.

The next morning, the couple prepares for the hardest part of all of this. Apparently, they need Coin's permission in order to get married, and normally the weddings aren't very fun. That isn't what Lilith had in mind at all, so she's going to do whatever she can to make Coin approve of everything.
"Her office is right in there," Katniss says, pointing a finger down a small hallway. She had helped them get a meeting with Coin directly.
"Thank you," Lilith says gratefully.
"Don't worry about it," Katniss shrugs. "Just... make her an offer she can't refuse."
Lilith nods and Katniss leaves. Lilith grabs onto Finnick's arm and holds on tightly.
"It'll be okay," Finnick assures her. "She can't say no." Lilith nods and they enter her office.
"No," The pale woman with a blonde bob states after Finnick and Lilith make their request. Alma Coin is probably the most stoic person Lilith has encountered. Even Snow has his own personality, granted it's not a good one, but it's a personality.
"What do you mean 'no'?" Finnick says.
"I mean no," She stares at them blankly. She then gestures to the door. "If you would please, I have more pressing matters I need to handle."
Finnick begins to retreat from the office, but Lilith stands there in some sort of trance. Everything she wants is at the tip of her fingertips. She is not going to let some miserable woman rip it away from her.
"Madam President, with all due respect, I don't believe you not agreeing to this wedding is the best choice," Lilith breaks the silence.
"Oh really? Why's that Ms. Monroe?" Coin says, folding her hands on her desk.
"There's a war going on right now, and the people need hope. If they don't get it, this war may as well not even take place," Lilith says.
"I am very aware about the war and the people's need for hope. The Mockingjay is their hope," Coin retorts.
"And Katniss does a wonderful job at that," Lilith agrees. "But, I believe if we treat this wedding like a propo and air it all around the Districts, it would show people that we are not worried. It would make them believe we know we're winning."
Coin sighs. She stands from her chair and walks over to Lilith. "They already know we're winning."
"Do they?" Lilith cocks her head to the side, never once breaking eye contact with her.
Coin, probably realizing that she wasn't going to get her way this time, clears her throat and returns to her desk. "Fine. We'll air it in two days time."
Lilith gains a smug smirk on her face and returns to Finnick's side. She wraps her arm around Finnick's and looks at Coin. Lilith doesn't know what it is, but there is something about this woman that she doesn't like, and whatever it is she knows Katniss can see it too.
"Good day," Lilith mutters, smug smile still drawn on her face. Her and Finnick leave Coin's office.
Once they're far enough away so he's sure Coin won't hear them, Finnick laughs and lifts Lilith off of the ground, spinning her around while holding her tightly. Lilith gasps out of shock and squeals. Everything they've ever wanted is now at the tips of their fingers, and they're not going to let anyone take it away.
