Charles shook his head quickly. "You saw what I did to Cerebro. You don't want me inside your head." He said surely. The console and machine had taken a battering, parts of it even smoked. If he could do that to a machine, he didn't wish to know what he could do to a mind.

Logan seemed quite amused by this as his earlier smirk reappeared and turned into a smile. Shifting his weight he looked at Charles seriously. "There's no damage you can do that hasn't already been done, trust me." Honestly, considering the damage done up there, Logan doubted hugely that Charles could do anything else.

Still looking at him with an uncertain disbelieving look, Charles shook his head slowly. Logan didn't seem to drop this though. His expression hardened as he looked at him. He wasn't dropping this, not by a long shot. With hesitant hands, Charles reached forwards. He placed two fingers on each side of Logan's head, this caused an eyebrow to be raised yet he didn't comment.

With uncertain eyes, Charles concentrated and entered Logan's mind. He just wasn't expecting to be bombarded by brief glimpses of images, and then others which lingered and carried such a weight of emotions that it made it feel like he was drowning. Seeing images of experimentation caused something to click within his own mind, even in Logan's future, such a thing still existed. Seeing the death of a red haired woman called Jean held such raw emotion that Charles couldn't help but look at Logan with a new sense of sadness. "You poor, poor man." He whispered gently while looking up at Logan.

"Look past me." Logan said firmly, the more time Charles spent dwelling on his memories, he was sure would make the man look even more depressed. That wasn't the point of doing this.

"No, I don't want your suffering! I don't want your future!" He exclaimed in irritated saddened exasperation.

"Look past my future, look for your future." Logan said while remaining unfaltering. His little exclaim and looks weren't going to make him back down. Charles frowned gently, though this slowly started to disappear as he relaxed and focussed. "That's it," Logan encouraged and reassured as Charles seemed to lapse back into using his powers.

He travelled further into Logan's mind. Images faded, blurred, parted and dissipated as Charles continued onwards. An odd sense of calm suddenly enveloped him, and it was through this feeling that he registered he was laying down. Opening his eyes, he looked to the darkened ceiling above him. Lines cracked and etched into it and travelled the expanse of darkness above him. There didn't seem to be much light. It was very dark, gloomy, and cold. Looking slowly to the side, Charles glanced at the only light source which seemed to be coming through the grimy window. Fractured yellow lighting illuminated the room the best it could, it seemed to fail because it was still murky.

Slowly pushing himself onto his elbows he looked around some more before fully sitting up. He wasn't alone within this room. He glanced over each form before standing away from the hard surface he had just been laying upon. Frowning at the sight of a figure in a wheelchair, he moved forwards. "Charles?" He couldn't help but feel his lips pull up into a smirk. He couldn't help it. He simply couldn't believe this moment was happening. He watched the future him open his eyes. Blinking slowly, blue eyes looked up at him. The man before him spoke lowly yet gently, the look he sent his way was one of calm and gentility too.

"Charles," his smirk remained in place. "So this is what becomes of us? Erik was right. Humanity does this to us." Charles briefly looked about the desolate room which seemed to be who only knew where, in some distant corner of the world for all he knew.

The future Charles Xavier looked to his younger self with simplicity. He wasn't expecting a quick and easy conversation, so the spiteful words which were spoken didn't surprise him. "Not if we show them a better path." He replied sounding like he believed in that sentence with his entire being.
