It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, the kind of day when the house finally exhaled. But in the master bedroom closet, mischief was brewing.

Mara creaked the closet door open, her expression already suspicious as she squinted into the densely packed rows of leather jackets. Each one looked like it had come straight out of an Avengers mission—or a moody winter soldier fashion catalog.

"Seriously, Dad?" she muttered under her breath, "How many leather jackets does one man even need?"

Behind her, Natalie, tiptoed into the closet, clutching the 'white wolf' plushie she always carried.

"Mara," she whispered, her voice edged with doubt, "Maybe we shouldn't be touching Dada's secret stuff..."

Mara didn't pause, too caught up in the thrill of discovery, "Relax. What's the worst that happens—we get grounded for life?" She grinned, "Worth it. We're the future Avengers, Nat. Gotta understand the past to protect the future,"

She reached up for one of the jackets crammed on the top shelf. As she tugged it down, something heavy clinked and dropped to the floor. It landed with a soft thud.

Curious, Mara crouched and picked it up. It was an old black notebook, worn and weathered, its edges chewed up—probably by time, or maybe by Bucky's nervous fidgeting.

Her eyes lit up, "Jackpot."

She flipped it open, the pages crackling as she turned them. The notebook was filled with scribbles, crossed-out names, and raw thoughts written in messy ink. She started to read aloud.

She paused as her voice softened.

Y/N– Say sorry. Mean it. And don't mess this up again. But if she wants to go... let her.
