📍HAITI
You and Natalie were visiting Nakia at her peaceful home by the coast—a place where the breeze always smelled like salt and flowers, and the ocean whispered secrets to the shore. While you and Nakia caught up over tea, Natalie had run off with little T'Challa, the son of Nakia and King T'Challa, the two eight-year-olds already deep in some grand adventure.
Now, as the afternoon sun hung low in the sky, Natalie and T'Challa sat together on a soft dune just above the beach, their bare feet dusted with warm sand.
"You really have magic?" T'Challa asked, curiously.
Natalie nodded proudly, "Wanna see?"
She held out her hands, letting a stream of silver mist gather and twirl in her palms like moonlight caught in motion. With a playful grin, she blinked out of sight—and reappeared behind him, poking his shoulder gently.
T'Challa gasped and turned around, eyes shining, "You teleported!"
Natalie beamed, hopping down onto the sand beside him, "If anyone ever bugs you at school, you just tell me," she raised her chin in pride, "I once yanked Aaron's bully's pants down with my powers and he fell on his face—because he wouldn't leave my brother alone,"
"Cool," T'Challa chuckled, "You're like a superhero. Or a star," He hesitated, cheeks turning the softest shade of pink. "But you smell like papayas. Sweet and soft,"
Natalie paused, unsure what it meant, "I do?"
He nodded shyly, "Yeah. Really nice. And when the sun shines on your hair, it looks like... magic fire." His voice dropped a little. "You look very beautiful, Nat,"
Natalie blinked, stunned for a moment. She tilted her head, her cheeks growing warm. "Oh..."
T'Challa bit his lip, "Was that okay to say?"
Natalie grinned and reached out, squeezing his hand. "Yeah. It was sweet."
Then T'Challa leaned in, cheeks pink, and gave her the quickest, shyest kiss on the cheek—like he was afraid he might explode if he stayed too long.
Natalie blinked, stunned for half a second, then broke into a bright grin. With a happy little squeal, she kissed his cheek back, then immediately covered her face with both hands, giggling behind them like it was the funniest, most magical thing in the world.
