Everything flashes
Before your eyes
During that split-second
It's a wonder, really
How many years are mended
To replay in less than a second.
All your mistakes
All your flaws
All the time spent wasted
Lingers around in your head
Entertaining the idea
That your life
Was overall meaningless.
Thinking
How it could've ended
Right then and there,
My lost soul
Left to wander about
While my lifeless corpse
Slowly decays.
Today could've been
The end of me,
Grateful that it wasn't!
