Chapter 18

*2 weeks later*
"We have finally got a free day together. What do you want to do today babe?" I ask Maxi sitting on the sofa next to him as he's typing away animatedly on the keyboard of his macbook.

He sticks his hand up to me as if to signal me to wait a minute. I chuckle standing up with my luke warm tea and drinking the last of it before walking back into the kitchen and putting my mug on the side.

"What are you typing away about anyway?" I call back to Maxi as I start unloading the dishwasher and putting the plates and cups back in the cupboards.

I don't get any reply so I start loading the dishwasher again with some plates from last night and my mug. I shut the dishwasher and go back into the living room to see Maxi still typing away.

I roll my eyes grabbing the tv remote and switching the telly on and putting a music channel on before dancing my way over to the balcony doors and sliding one of them open and slipping outside. I look over towards the beach and see that it's not very busy despite the warm weather. Summertime is slowly coming to an end now and the tourists are finally leaving so more Aussies are coming to the beach.

I breathe in the salty air leaning my arms on the balcony.

I look back inside the house and see Maxi turning off the macbook, finally finished with whatever he was doing. I turn back to looking at the beach as he wanders over."

Sorry baby had to finish writing the plans for the Jetski ride." Maxi apologizes wrapping his arms round my waist from behind and kissing my neck."

It's okay babe. So what are we doing today then?" I ask turning around in his arms to face him, my back leaning on the balcony.

"I said we'd go meet my mum and her friend for lunch at Redleaf Pool Café if that's alright?" Maxi asks looking down at me.I nod happily at him. "All fine with me, I haven't seen Mummy Maxwell in forever." I joke leaning up and pecking Maxi on the lips before slipping out of his arms and heading over to the balcony door connecting to our bedroom."I'm just going to go get changed then I'll be straight out." I smile back at him as I step through the doorway. I go into my wardrobe and pull out a cute dress and white heels. I slip them on before quickly putting on some eye make-up and pink lipgloss. I grab my white Chanel purse and black sunglasses. I slip the bag over my shoulder and sunglasses into my bag. I pull my curly hair into an up-do and fix it with a white bandana before running out of the door and into the hallway where Maxi is waiting, texting Jesse no doubt.

"Ready to go babe?" I ask him grabbing the keys to the Buggy and garage. He looks up at me sliding his phone away into his pocket.

"Yep, you look stunning as always too babe." Maxi smiles cheekily, kissing my lips before opening the door for me. I giggle walking out the door and waiting for him to close it. Once he does, he closes the door and laces my fingers with his and we walk down the stairs.

"How's the plans coming along for 'The Ride'" I ask him as we reach the floor bellow ours.

"It's nearly done. Just a date to set yet." He smiles widely. I can tell he's very excited to do this, as it's for such a good cause."Do you have one in mind?" I ask him as we get to the bottom floor of the buildings.

"In about 3 weeks today?" He asks unsure. I nod approvingly.

"Not too long away, but long enough that you have time to shop for new clothes and food?" I suggest. Maxi nods as we get to the garage. He unlocks the garage door sliding it up. He passes me back the keys and I climb into the drivers seat putting on my seat belt. I start the engine and pull out of the garage and cutting the engine and chucking Maxi the keys so he can close the garage door. Once he closes it, he climbs in beside me and passes me back the keys.
