"Erika, you're going to be late if you don't hurry up!" My mother yelled from the hallway.

"I have to look good mom!" I cried as I put black eyeliner around my hazel eyes.

"What for?" She demanded.

"Joe is back from vacation, and he's going to be at school today. That's why." I said.

Joe Trohman was my long time high school crush. He was the most adorable boy Id ever laid eyes on, but he was also sexy and charming.

This year, my senior year, I had every intention of making my first move on him.

"Well, being late won't look good. And being in detention on your first day is no good either. Let's get going." My mother said.

I groaned and brushed my dark brown hair one last time. Then I grabbed my bag and hurried out the door to drive to school.

I made it to school on time, despite my mother's worries. I walked to my locker and threw my things inside, all the while looking at my schedule. My homeroom was right across the hall from my locker.

"Yes." I whispered.

"Yes what?" A familiar voice asked.

I turned. "Joe! Hi!" I said.

Calm down, I thought to myself. He's just a guy and you sound all squeaky.

But Joe Trohman wasn't "just a guy". He was the guy.

"Hey Erika." Joe chuckled.

"How was your trip?" I asked, calming down some. With difficulty, of course.

"Fine. We went to Chicago." He said.

"Didn't go far did you?" I asked.

We only lived about an hour outside of Chicago.

"Yeah, but it was nice. I met someone, and he and I are thinking of starting a band." He said.

"Oh yeah? What kind of band?" I asked.

"A punk rock band. Although Patrick seems to think we should add some soul to it." Joe said, shrugging.

"Patrick?" I echoed.

"Oh, that's the guy I met in the city. We met in a bookstore and got into an argument about who knew more about music." He said.

"Of course you won. No one knows more about music than you." I said.

Okay, now I sounded like a stalker. But it was true. Joe was an amazing musician.

"He was quite the contender, let me tell you. That's why we're gonna try this band." Joe said.

"Awesome. Well, Id love to come over some time." I said.

Then I realized what I said.

"And watch you play." I added quickly.

Another pause.

"The music." I added.

Joe laughed.

Nice one, Erika. I thought.

"I'd love for you to come over." Joe said.

"To watch me play."

"The music."

"Oh shut up!" I exclaimed, laughing with him.

Joe shook his head. "How long, Erika?" He asked.

"How long what?" I replied.

"How long until you admit that you like me so I can ask you out?" He said.

I was so taken aback I forgot to answer.

"Erika?" He asked, touching my arm.

"I admit it now." I said, blushing furiously.

"Awesome. So would you like to come to Fall Out Boy's first rehearsal, and then go to dinner with me?" He asked.

"I would love to." I said, smiling.

"Finally. Now, we should go. Where's your homeroom?" He asked.

"Right there." I said, pointing.

"Hey, that's mine too!" He said. "Sit with me?"

"Of course." I said.

Joe grabbed my hand and led me across the hall. That's when a boy dressed in all black and wearing eyeliner came running and flew right by us.

"Pete Wentz." Joe mumbled. "What a weirdo."

Sorry, I suck at fluffy stuff. Hope you liked it! Thanks for requesting!

Love you all!
