Different Worlds pt II (sequel to Different Worlds) {ON HOLD}

The new Hokage

Sayomi's pov

Naruto had showed up at the last minute and defeated Pein. Pein had revived everyone, but Tsunade was in a coma.

Shikaku had dragged me along to a meeting with the fudeal lord, apparently to discuss who was going to be the next Hokage. "Why do I have to go as well?" I asked.

"You're going to be the representative of your clan." he replied.

"Couldn't you have chosen Keiichi?" I asked. "He's a Tsukino as well, you know?"

"What's she doing here?" Danzo asked immediately when we entered.

"She's the representative of the Tsukino clan, right?" the fudeal lord asked.

I nodded. "Indeed I am." We took a seat and I could feel the elders' hateful glares towards me. Did I do something wrong? I wondered.

"Uh... Shikaku-san, why do they dislike me?" I whispered to Shikaku.

"Maybe they got a bad impression of you?" he replied, not sounding very sure about it

"So, who do you propose to be Hokage?" the fudeal lord said.

"I suggest Kakashi Hatake." Shikaku said.

"The Fourth's student huh? That might be a good idea..." the fudeal lord muttered.

Danzo was about to speak, but I said something first. "I also suggest him, he'd make a good Hokage in my opinion."

"How do we know we can trust her?" Danzo suddenly asked. "She could be a spy for the Akatsuki."

"Where did you base that idea on?" I asked, keeping my calm, though the urge to punch him was rising. I get why Shikaku-san doesn't want him to be Hokage...

"Your sister." he replied.

From the inside, I was boiling from anger, but I kept a calm image. "I'm not my sister." I said. "I'm a Leaf shinobi."

"You could be--"

"Why are you saying this all of the sudden anyway?" I asked. "Have you met her or something?" This time, I sounded a bit irritated.

Danzo ignored me and told the fudeal lord they needed a Hokage who thought differently than the previous Hokages. "Like yourself?" Shikaku asked.

"Yes. Like myself." Danzo replied.

"There was nothing wrong with the previous Hokages' acting. They all protected the village, the first four gave their life for it and now Tsunade-sama is in a coma because of her efforts. What do you possibly want to change?" I stated, still maintaining my calm look.

"They were too easy, letting your clan join the Leaf." he said. "That's what is wrong about their ways."

This man... I can't stand him! I thought. He's really getting on my nerves...

I had an argument with Danzo for quite a long time, though I looked the calmest of the both of us. When all of this was over, I was going to let it all out.

"That's decided then, I name Kakashi--" the fudeal lord started, but Danzo gave him multiple reasons why he should be the one to be Hokage, instead of Kakashi.

Just as the fudeal lord was about to name him Hokage, Shikaku interrupted him. "If you don't want Kakashi to be Hokage, I suggest Sayomi Tsukino. She has proven to be able to make rational decisions and stay calm, no matter the situation."

My eyes widened slightly. Me? Hokage? I've never thought of myself as one...

The fudeal lord seemed to be thinking about it, while Danzo and the elders tried to convince him not to pick me. I would've been against as well, if Danzo wasn't the other candidate.

"That's decided then, Sayomi Tsukino will be the sixth Hokage." the fudeal lord said. "Now that's done, everyone is dismissed."

I'm sorry Naruto...

"Sayomi-chan? Why can't you go with us for some ramen?" Naruto asked, while I was heading to the replacing building with Shikaku.

"I'm a bit busy..." I muttered. How was I going to tell him I was Hokage now? It was his dream after all. "You see, I... I'm..."

"She has a lot of paperwork to do as the new Hokage." Shikaku said.

"Sayomi, you're the Hokage?!" Sakura exclaimed.

"Uh.. yeah..." I muttered, smiling sheepishly, rubbing the back of my head.

*In the office*

I looked at the piles of paperwork I was supposed to do, it was so much! Shikaku showed me what to do first and I started working on it immediately. This is Naruto's dream? Paperwork?

When I was almost done, three people from Kumo entered. "You're the Hokage?" they asked.

I nodded. "What's the reason of your visit?"

"We want permission to hunt down Sasuke Uchiha." the blonde girl replied.

"Why?"

"He has abducted Killer Bee, the Hachibi Jimchuuriki."

I closed my eyes and thought about it. I knew Naruto and a few others would go insane if they would kill him, which could cause a war between Kumo and Konoha. A war wasn't what Konoha nor Kumo needed. But if Konoha wouldn't do anything, a war could happen, from Kumo's side. What should I do? I asked myself.

"I can't let you kill him." I stated calmly. They were about to protest, but I interrupted him. "Because if I would, it could create a war between Kumo and Konoha. Konoha shall deal with him. But if you find him, you're allowed to capture him alive and bring him to Konoha."

I was on my way to the Five Kage Summit. With me were Danzo and one of his most trusted ANBU members. I would have chosen someone else, if I wasn't pretty much forced into taking him with me. I was just hoping he wouldn't act like during the meeting.

Arriving there, hateful looks were sent my - to be more specific, Danzo's - way. So they can't get along with him either...
