A week had passed and I was still drowning myself in my own thoughts.

No matter what I did or what I said, everything just made my thoughts drift back to him. That is until Michael suggested we go to his house, where he had a pool in his backyard.

It felt really good just hanging out with them like this. I genuinely laughed at the jokes or things they said and did. And for that one moment, after a week of crying and being in complete sorrow, I was happy.

"School is starting soon." Michael said with a frown as we were all sitting on the edge of the pool, our feet in the water.

The thought of going back to school sickened me. That meant I had to go back and see everyone's dull faces. None of them showed a sense of happiness in their lives, not even a little bit. It seemed as if Calum and Michael were the only ones who didn't have a bad meaning behind their smiles or laughs.

"I'm not ready." I chipped in.

"I'm not even going to say I hope we have classes together because I know we won't." Calum said.

"Isn't this your senior year though?" Ashton questioned. We all nodded which made him furrow his eyebrows.

"You guys should be happy. This is your senior year for fucks sake. Make the best of it, make mistakes, make more friends, make not only yourselves, but other people laugh and smile as well. No one should have a single frown on their face during this year, only smiles. After this year, you're going to be entering the real world,"

"You will face many things this year, that is certain. But you can't let those things affect the things that will happen later in your life. Just make the right decisions, alright?"

We nodded and continued to sit in silence. I soon felt a pair of hands on my back, forcefully pushing me into the pool. I swam up in the water, pushing my hair back only to see Calum throwing his head back in laughter.

"How didn't you notice me stand up? I was literally right next to you." He chuckled. I flared my nostrils and splashed him with water, a girly scream coming out of his mouth.

It wasn't until the sun was starting set we decided to go inside, cracking jokes about how Michael was really sunburned to which he all threatened us to kick us out of his house.

After watching some movies we all decided to go to bed considering it was already 1 a.m. I kept tossing and turning in my bed, my thoughts about Luke seeming to come back again.

Is okay he okay?

Does he miss me like I miss him?

How is he handling this?

So many questions ran through my head. I decided to get up and head down to the kitchen, needing a glass of water. I quietly went up the stairs after I got one, bumping into a hard chest. I stumbled back a little but a pair of hands gripped onto my forearm before I fell.

Though there wasn't much lighting in the corridor, I still managed to see who it was. "Watch where you're going, Calum."

"You were the one who bumped into me." He said, his hands still holding onto my arms. I rolled my eyes and pulled my arms from his grasp. He grabbed them again and pulled me into his chest, "Can't sleep?" He whispered while rubbing my back.

I didn't understand why he was holding me but I didn't question it. I shook my head and stayed put in his arms, liking the feeling of them wrapped around me. "Me neither," He said.
