Chapter 13

(2 weeks later)

Ward's POV:

Skye has not spoken to me since I put the bracelet on her. I understand why she is mad, but I was hoping that she would get over it quicker than she is. At least it's better than the tether.

I walk out of my room to see Skye sitting and looking out the window. She looks so beautiful. It is almost 10:30 at night, so the moon is out. That only makes her look more beautiful.

"You do this a lot." She says quietly.

She is actually talking to me.

"Do what?" I ask softly.

"Just stand and stare at me." She responds.

"I like looking at beautiful things." I say.

She turns to look at me.

"I am going to go to bed now." She says.

"Okay. Good-night, Skye." I respond.

She walks away.

At least she is talking to me now.

I don't feel very tired so I think that I will just stay up and watch TV.
