Chapter twenty one

I have no explanation for my absence, and I'm sorry for that but sometimes life just isn't as great as you want it to be.

I'm not sure how soon the next chapter will be posted, but I want you all to know that I have already started it!

It felt great waking up the next day knowing that Kaitlin was officially mine. I looked down at her head which was resting on my chest and thought about my life since I met her. I still can't believe how lucky I am. She's been the light of world since the first day I saw her.

I placed a kiss on the top of her head, and wrapped my arms around her body. I felt her smile against my chest before she looked up at me and granted me the right to a sight I would never get tired of.

"Good morning." Her voice was husky from sleep.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty." Her usual cute blush made its appearance.

"I didn't sleep that long, besides even if I did I had a good reason. You must not remember how many times I was woken up in the middle of the night because you couldn't keep your hands to yourself."

She tried keeping a straight face, but failed miserably when I saw her dimples appear.

"I can't help it if my mate is the most beautiful woman in this world, and the next."

She placed a kiss on my lips before straddling me.

"And I can't help it if my new alpha wants something from me, I need to meet all his requests, don't you think so, alpha?"

Just when I thought my morning wood couldn't get any harder. She slowly grind her lower body against mine and I guess you can say that was all it took for me to switch our positions.

Hours later we finally managed to get ourselves out of bed. The pack was having breakfast with Kaitlin, while I met with neighboring alphas in hopes of expanding my pack grounds. Luckily none of them had issues with what I presented to them.

I have plans to try and help as many lone wolves as possible, I'd train them, and teach them how packs act together. If they like what I have for them they are more than welcome to stay, but if they don't I have no choice but to leave them back where they were found. Kaitlin supported my idea, that's what I love most about her, she supports me.

I was glad she managed to pull herself together for the pack, she's been through the unthinkable but my mate, she's a strong one. It's been a while since the pack had a Luna. I'm sure they forgot what it felt like, but now they have Kaitlin and she was doing a great job so far. It helped that they all knew her for pretty much her entire life, they were accustomed to her, and she was accustomed to each and ever single one of them. Together her and I would do great things for this pack, and others as well. Our goal was to help as many people as we could and I'm sure as long as we have each other that's exactly what we'd do.

Kaitlin

"Luna, luna can you fly?"

I smiled down at the children in front of me, they thought that just because I was the Luna I somehow had special powers, although I'd say shifting into a wolf is a special power, but that's something even the kids could do.

"I can't fly kids, but I have fingers that like to tickle."

They squealed and ran away, I laughed loudly as they raced to the door.

Just as I was going to chase after them I heard footsteps.

"What's my lovely mate doing alone?" My heart still skipped a beat at the sound of his voice.

"I was going to chase after the kids, but I think they forgot about me by now."

I wrapped my arms around his neck and stood on my toes to place a kiss on his lips. He pulled me closer, leaning in for another kiss when we were interrupted by a throat being cleared.

Max smiled at us, and handed Damien a paper, "this is what we talked about earlier in the week, hope you like it."

With that being said he tipped his hat towards me and walked out of the room.

"What was that all about?" I asked Damien.

"Just something." He smiled and tries to kiss me, but I pulled back, "oh you so can't do that, it's gonna bug me until I know what it's about."

He laughed and placed a kiss on my forehead, "you'll find out soon enough, now let's go to bed."

"Damien it's two in the afterno- oh, I get what you're saying, let's go!"
