Thoughts on self-salvation extended

I had a lot of zoning in and zoning out moments, majorly caused by the two, or three, concussions that were inflicted on me on purpose. I should seriously find a way out of this weird place as soon as I get the chance... All that aside, and going back to my current condition, I certainly didn't expect the current conversation while having one of my many zoning moments.

"Are you sure this is according to plan?"

"What are you saying now? Can't you tell, he obviously has some connection with the Cavallone?"

"I know, but will the Cavallone Don actually come and rescue him?"

"It's been two days, since his capture, I'm sure that his parents would have told someone about his disappearance."

"But-"

"No buts! Just, just go off and do your rounds, this ransom exchange should create some sort of light on his situation."

"... Alright, I just hope that you are right under your impression."

A shut door indicated that the person left, leaving me in the presence of the other in the room.

"Man, the pressure is starting to get to me, are you sure that this boy here can be our key?"

I cut the urge to frown down. This other man spoke as if there was someone else in the room. I seriously hope he wasn't crazy.

"Sure he is," The purr in that tone sent shivers down my spine, in which I tried in suppressing most of it. "he is that bastard Arthur's youngest, so he is bound to react appropriately."

I couldn't seem to have my mind wrap around the fact that this anonymous person knew of my dad, and by the sound of it, it wasn't by ordinary means of business factors.

"But he has an older son from the rumors, wouldn't it best to take him instead?"

"Fool!" I couldn't deny that I flinched inwardly at the tone. It clearly portrayed this newer character as someone that isn't meant to be crossed or messed with. "Even if that bastard Arthur had an older son, he would have had the training for situations like these!"

I clearly wasn't the only one who had shrunk with this newer pressure, when clearly the other guy had been whimpering at wetting himself. I didn't hear anything else since I returned to my zoning out moment, putting me in a black out once again.

The next time I came back to my senses, I was welcomed by a sharp migraine. It definitely hurt, and I groaned because of it.

"I see that you are finally awake, boy,"

I gave an irritable sigh, as I tried to massage the migraine to ease its pain. "I know I should get up and demand where I am, and who you are, for that matter, but really, I'm kind of in a situation that doesn't let me take the Hollywood name to fame."

"You're in no situation to speak back,"

A sudden shock ran throughout my body, and I bolted upright, smarting from the electrical pain. "What the hell? What the heck did you do?"

I did a quick inspection on myself to see if I sustained any outer damages, but none came to be of notice. I then settled on looking on who decided it would be fun to electrocute a teenager that just needed to get out of a robotic confectionary, and was met with a man of near elder age. I say near elder age because it obviously looked like the man was old enough to be some higher up person without the graying that infected the word old. His hair was russet colored that had been grown past his shoulders, while the most prominent of his features, other than the stubble and rugged face, was the eyepatch that covered his left eye, with the strings framing his other visible dark brown eye. I noticed the smoke he had in his hand a while later, thanks to the suffocating stink. The snort of wry humor made me look back up at him, a dry smirk on his lips. "You really are amusing kid, maybe I'd keep you alive for a bit longer after business, to kill some time."

I boiled at his snarky comment, but didn't blow up. More to the fact of being wary. Instead, I stared at him, letting my gaze drift across the room before returning back to the man in front of me. A black box-like object caught my eye and I double checked to see what it was. A taser. The feeling of shock running through my whole being came back and I narrowed my eyes back at the man. "You tased me."

"Good observation kid, I am quite well known for tasing anyone," He grinned. "most of my victims fall for it on a medium set volt."

So he was a killer. I was starting to feel cold and sick to my stomach at my predicament.

"It's not good to frown when you have a whole life set ahead of you, kid," The man laughed with cold amusement. "that is, if you will ever get out of this scandal alive."

My frown deepened. "You know you can stop calling me a kid when you already know of my name."

The analytical stare came back and it took nearly everything for me to not flinch from it. The grin came back, this time much sharper than the last. "You better watch what you say kid, I won't always be merciful."

As to prove his point, he flicked his smoke's ash my way, burning my skin slightly. I gave a slight start, but otherwise didn't scream, even though it was burning like an accidental scar... maybe a bit less than that. I grit my teeth, enduring it, while glaring at the other. He continued, his grin dimming into a smirk. "But you did get the fact that I do know your name, kid, I just don't feel like using it. Got any other questions worth my time?"

"Yeah," I gnashed my teeth, holding back the pooling tears in my eyes. I wouldn't allow myself to let them fall, so I blinked them away and stared hard at the man. "where the hell am I, who the hell are you, and what the hell do you want with me?"

He paused, his gaze hardening, as he lost his cold humoredly smirk. But then it was back again, and in my face too. A good look at his features and my opinion of his face was starting to tilt towards the handsome side of Libra's scale, goddammit, I seriously need to go over my morals... "So you want to know what's going on around you, huh, kid?"

I didn't say anything, just kept my gaze steady. He continued, his rancid breath making my nostrils twitch. "You're within my grasp, King Louie IV, and I'm going to have you for dinner after all this drama, got that kid?"

I sneered at him. "Too scared to say something that has weighted truth?"

He jeered. "You have no idea what you're asking for kid, better back off now, or else,"

"Or else what?" I sniped back, glaring at him even harder. "You'll cut my throat?"

"Tempting," He mused, leaning back into his seat, but was soon moving towards me again. This time bringing his smoke's butt towards me as well. "but it's more like torture until you break, kid."

Before I could question, I felt a burning sensation just above my collar. This time I couldn't help but scream.

My vision then swam with the feral look of a predator enjoying it's prey's useless struggle.
