ping!
i checked my phone.
a new text message from cupid.
i unlocked my phone reluctantly. not because i didn't want her to reply, no, as much as i hated to admit it, i liked it when she texts me. it makes me feel a sense of relief. at least i'm not lonely anymore.
my eyes skimmed through the paragraph of text message that she had just sent me.
cupid: you want to know why i would like to be your friend? because i want to help you. you don't have to say yes, but i'd advise you to say yes. and why would i want to help you? because nobody deserves to be put down like that. i don't care if you see yourself as a worthless piece of poo, i will help you. just a chance?
logan: and even if i was to let you help me, how would i know that you're actually going to be some sort of help.
cupid: well first of all, i help people as a job. and i won't sabotage you or anything. just give me a chance.
logan: fine.
cupid: wait, really?
logan: well, if you're going to keep asking, then no.
cupid: right, first advice, stop being so negative towards everything.
