Everything seems to be better now. We are on our way to Hawaii.

As soon as I set foot on my private airplane my phone rang. It was my brother Shawn.

"Hello".

"Justin". He sounded out of breath.

"Hey what's wrong"? I asked concerned.

"Dad...he...he had a heart attack not to long ago the paramedics are taking him to the hospital".

"Is he okay"?

I'm worried and I'm scared.

"I don't know I'm on my way to the hospital".

"Candace and I will be there soon".

I went to the back where she was.

Her smile quickly stopped when she saw me coming.

"Hey what's wrong".

"We need to go to the hospital now"!

"Why? Justin's what's wrong"?

"I'll tell you on the way lets go".

I walk to the front. "Kids grab your stuff and get to the car".

"Daddy why"? Jamie asked

"Don't ask questions lets go". I walked to the stairs as the stared at me.

"NOW"!!! I yelled making them jump and hurry up.

I dropped the kids off at the house and now Candace and I are on our way to the hospital.

"Justin what is going on. You're scaring me".

I sighed "My dad had a heart attack".

"Oh my goodness". Candace covered her mouth.

"Is he okay"?

"Nobody knows yet".

She grabbed my hand. "He will be okay Justin".

I held her hand tightly. "I hope so".

We get to the hospital and find my family in the waiting room. It was dead silent. Nobody was talking they all looked like they were in thought.

"Any news"? I asked. They all looked up at me.

"They said his heart is weak. Why didn't he tell me? How come I didn't notice"? My mom said starting to cry.

The girls go over and comforted my mom.

I sat down by Jesse and thought about my dad. He never told us his heart was weak.

We sat in the hospital for hours. Candace left because the kids were starting to call over and over again. So she left a few hours ago.

The doctor walked in asking to speak with my mom.

She walked back in the room with tears in her eyes.

"Mom what's going on"? Shawn asked.

"We can see him but it doesn't look well".

My brothers and I followed my mom and headed down to his room.

Once we walked in there it just felt off. My dad looked so pale.

On sight my mom started to cry.

"Come on I don't bite". My dads voice was raspy and sounded out of breath.

We walked to his bed.

"Guys I won't be here much longer".

"Ryan don't say that". My mom was crying harder.

"Laura listen to me. It's time and I need you to be strong for our kids and grandkids".

She held his hand.

One by one my dad talked to us and it just seemed like it was his last words.

"Justin".

I looked at him.

"I need you to listen to me carefully. Don't shut your family out. Don't avoid your wife. You tend to do that when something bad like this happens. You will need them as much as they need you".

I looked at him and nodded.

"Promise me you will won't leave them Justin".

"Dad I promise I would never leave my family".

He smiled.

"I love all of you and I'll be watching". He smiled and soon his eyes closed.

My mom started to cry harder. And soon the doctors and nurses came in pushing us out.

We watched as they tried to get him back. But it was no use he was gone.
