I pull on my reddish pink dress after my mom finishes my hair and makeup. I slip on my heels with little jewels on them. I stand up straight and look in the mirror.

"You look beautiful, sweetheart," Mom says from behind me.

"Thanks, Mom."

"You're welcome sweetie. What are your guys's plans for tonight?"

"Uh, well I'm going to prom," I say sarcastically.

"Obviously. I mean what are you doing after prom?"

"I don't know. It ends at 10, so it depends on whether I want to go home with Tobias, or come back here."

"Ok, they all better get here soon or we'll lose the light for pictures."

Just then I get a text from Tobias.

>we're here👍🏼

I text him back.

>ok, be out in a bit😘

>k😘

I grab my sparkly clutch and stuff my phone in it. I exit my room and walk down the stairs with my mom. She grabs the camera off the couch and we walk outside.

I walk over to Tobias, who has one arm behind his back, and I kiss him. He takes his arm out from behind his back. A pinkish corsage sits in a clear plastic container.

"It's beautiful," I smile.

"Just like you," Tobias says and takes the corsage out of the container. He puts it around my wrist.

"Oh my god. You keep getting more and more perfect."

"You're beyond perfect. You broke my scale."

"Aww, thank you, baby."

"Anytime."

We get group pictures—silly and normal— and I get a picture with just Tobias, and another with Mom and Dad.

We get in the limo a little after 6, and head off to dinner and then prom.

It's almost 8:30, and they're going to announce the prom king and queen in an hour. Tobias and I dance like maniacs to Stitches by Shawn Mendes.

"And now that I'm without your kisses, I'll be needing stitches!" we sing.

Then Locked Away comes on, and everyone goes crazy.

"If I got locked away, and we lost it all today. Tell me honestly, would you still love me the same? If I showed you my
flaws, if I couldn't be strong. Tell me honestly, would you still love me the same?" everybody yell sings.

We dance and sing some more, and eventually my feet start to hurt.

"I'm gonna go sit down," I tell Tobias over the music. "My feet are killing me."

"Do you want me to go with you?" He asks in my ear.

"No, it's fine." I walk over to the table and pull my phone out to see if I have any texts from anyone. Nope. #Foreveralone.

I really have to go to the bathroom, so I take my heels off, and walk into the dark hallway. I turn the corner, and run into someone. I look up and see Al.

I wouldn't say we're friends, but we're acquaintances.

"Oh, hey Al." Someone walks up behind him who I recognize as Peter. "Hey there, Peter." Then Drew comes out. "Of course, hi, Drew."
