Twelve

Oikawa waved goodbye to the fangirls who greeted him as they passed by each other. Turning back to where he was heading, he noticed [Name] pouting as she walked down the hallway. A smile automatically danced on his lips as he approached her. "[Name]-chan!" He called out to her, waving his hands in the air to get her attention.

The said girl turned her head to the direction of his voice, a smile spreading throughout her face when she realized who had called her. "Tooru-chan!" She skipped towards him, hopping to him like a bunny. "Where's Hajime-kun?"

"Iwa-chan's got some things to do in the class so he's heading home a little later." He raised a brow at her. "You look like you're wandering around."

"Yeah, I wanted to watch the volleyball team practice again but the gym's locked." She sighed, hanging her head low in disappointment.

Oikawa laughed. "We don't do practices on Mondays."

"Eh? Is that true?"

"It is. We have a break from practice on Mondays."

"I must have forgotten..." She scratched the back of her head and sighed in defeat. "Man, I really wanted to see you guys practice..."

Oikawa thought for a moment, his gaze lingering at her irresistible pout. "Actually, you can watch some volleyball practice if you really want to..." He suggested, rubbing his chin.

A young boy with short buzzed cut hair rushed up to Oikawa's leg, tugging onto his trousers excitedly. "Tooru! Tooru! You're late today!" The boy exclaimed.

"Stop tugging onto my pants like that Takeru!" Oikawa pulled onto his trousers, trying to save himself from embarrassment. "And I'm not that late you know."

"But everyone's waiting for you, you know!" The young boy named Takeru countered. Oikawa's grimaced, unable to come up with a reply. At his persistent pestering, Oikawa rushed to the gymnasium.

He apologized to the substitute coach who was starting to panic as the children demanded for their usual coach, Oikawa. They exchanged places and Oikawa immediately tried to calm them down.

"You're late, Oikawa-coach!" They complained.

"Where were you?" One of them jumped onto him, demanding for answers.

"Yeah! Where were you?" The others chimed in.

"I had a little something to do before hand!" He pried the children off him. He shuddered when he recalled what he had to do earlier that afternoon. "Behave, you guys! I have someone I want to introduce to you." With that, they calmed down and gathered up before their coach, waiting expectantly. Oikawa turned to the corridor, calling the guest in. "Come on in, [Name]-chan."

On cue, [Name] peeked her head from the corridor. She blinked a few times, a little unsure but entered eventually when Oikawa gestured her to walk over to his side. She anxiously made her way to his side, keeping her gaze on the floor.

"This is [Name]-chan. She's going to be my assistant for today." Oikawa introduce.

"Nice to meet you, [Name]-neesan!" The children cheered.

"H-Hello..." [Name] bowed at the children. She turned to Oikawa, still a little unconfident. However, Oikawa flashed her a smile, assuring her that it was alright and there was nothing she should be afraid of.

"Nee! Nee! Nee-san, do you like playing volleyball?"

"Are you in a team?"

"Do you know how to do jump serves too?"
