Ninjago: What I've Become

Chapter 4

(Lloyd's POV)

I run after the two figures expecting to see a random lost person or a serpentine. What I am seeing in front of me is unbelievable.

"L-Luna?" I asked the black haired girl that is now lying on the hard ground, staring at me in the eye. 

"No, no, no, no! Not now!" yells Luna as she gets up and runs.

"Wait up!" I yell as I run after her.

"Lloyd! Slow down," I hear Kaila say from behind me.

"Kaila, we gotta catch her!" I say and she nods and follows me. We keep running after them until I finally lock Luna in my sights and tackle her.

"Luna, will you just listen to me!" I say. Suddenly, a purple aura appears from around her, and a pair of black wings appear on her back.

"You will pay . . ." she says as her eyes start to glow bright purple.

"Luna stop this nonsense! I just wanna talk!" I say. 

"Oh, then why didn't you say so. You wanna talk? Then lets talk rough!" she yells as she blasts an energy blast in my direction.

I instantly react and shoot back an energy ball, and Kaila shoots a water orb. Soon, Luna's shots overpower mine and I stumble backwards. As soon as she realizes what she is doing, she gets rid of her glowing eyes and her wings vanish and all I can do is stare at her as I think, 'something's different. She changed'.

"What have I done?" she says as she looks at her surroundings, a huge crater has formed from her previous attack.

"Luna it's not-" I started.

"Just stay away from me. Please," she says as she gets up and starts running in the direction of the other figure who I assume none other than Mizar.

"Was that . . ." Kaila says.

"Luna? Yes, but she's different . . . like she lost control of her powers," I say. "I have to find her, K," I say.

"But you saw what she did! She just atta-" she starts before I cut her off.

"And she apologized!" I say with a deep sigh. "Look, my father separated us for a reason, I looked into her eyes, they looked guilty and sad, and stressed," I say.

"Oh, so are you a werewolf now?" she teases. 

"Nah, I wish," I say as she lands a kiss on my cheek.

"We'd better. . . " she says.

"Yeah," I say and form my dragon.

"Lloyd, are you sure you're alright?" asks Kaila.

"I honestly don't know kaila. Let's get home before the kids notice that their parents just went out without them," I say.

"Or, we tell them we needed some 'alone' time together," she says with a wink.

I laugh at her response, "So you're gonna tell them we went on a date? Seriously?" I say.

"You got any better ideas?" She says as she gets closer to me.

"Let's just head home before we end up making out on a dragon," I say while laughing.

"Hey!" She says as she playfully punched me then ends up laughing along.

*Meanwhile somewhere else*

(No one's POV)

"Did you find her?" asks the man's voice.

"Yes we did, and we pinpointed her location. We also found the perfect soon-to-be ally," says the woman's voice.

"Oh did you, Metal Alice?" said the man."Who shall it be?"

"It's a certain boy. He has great powers and may own a power he doesn't know about," says Metal Alice.

"Oh, does he? What's his name? " asks the man.

"His name is Lloyd Garmadon, known as "The Green Ninja" where he lives" answers his assistant, Metal Alice.

"If we can get the girl to affect him somehow, he will be in our possession," says the man.

"Yes, but first we have to get the girl to corrupt his pathetic good heart into one of a worthy ally to you," answers the assistant.

"Excellent, Metal Alice, return to me next time with more interesting news about our soon-to-be ally," says the man.

"Yes, Master Sledge" replies the assistant as she exits her master's chamber.

"Lloyd Garmadon, I certainly can't wait for our alliance . . ." said Sledge.

(Hope's POV)

Darkness.

It's all I could see and feel.

I hear my mommy calling out to me, but as I walk towards the voice it starts to fade.

I walk for what felt like hours and bump into something solid and hard.

I reach out and feel a knob. A door, but to where? I think.

I push the door and what I see is terrifying.

"Daddy?" I yell out loud, so loud my voice echoes through what felt like a long hallway. . . on fire.

"How nice of you to join us, Hope, you're just in time for the grand finale," says the voice.

The voice stepped into the light with my brother and mommy filled with scars and blood all over them in his hands.

"Daddy? You . . . you did this?" I yell tears start forming in my eyes.

"You catch up quite quickly, darling," says "Daddy" as he makes his eyes glow pure yellow.

He steps closer with his blood-covered hands grasping on my neck all of a sudden.

"It's quite a shame to lose my final toy, but you are replaceable," he says as I struggle for a breath of air.

As soon as he lets go, but before I black out, I hear him mutter, "Sweet dreams, pathetic human." He leaves the now-burning building, leaving me to sink into the black abyss.

I wake up with cold sweat covering my body and look around.

My brother is peacefully resting next to me. I look at my alarm clock next to me.

4:38 a.m. I get up and decide to have a sip of water.

As I tiptoe downstairs, all I could think of was my dream . . . 

Had it even been a dream? It had felt so real. Then I remember what "Daddy" looked like in my so-called dream.

I have to tell Mommy about it, dreams aren't usually that real.

What really worries me is . . . Why had daddy looked so . . . evil? 

Those words rang through my head until I allowed my eyes to rest.
