Chapter 9

(Lloyd's POV)

I was far from angry at this point, but that all washed away when I saw my eyes changed to bright yellow.

"Mom why is this happening?" I asked and she looked down.

"Granny what's wrong with daddy? Please tell us" Hope asked as she stepped out from behind Kaila.

"This is the first step of the corruption, the next one is worst" mom answered.

"M-mom what is the next one? It can't be happening this fast can it?" I asked.

"I-I don't know I'm sorry" mom said as she walked away.

"Hey mom how could you just walk away on me when I'm like this?!" I yelled.

She just kept walking until she stopped and had a look that had fear written all over it.

"Ugh I'm so bummed out now!" I yelled and went upstairs.

I stomped into my room and lied down on the bed.

I heard footsteps, then the door opened and I saw Kaila walk in.

"You okay?" She asked and sat down on the far end of the bed.

"No! How do you expect me to be okay with all this?!" I yelled out in frustration.

Kaila jumps back in either surprise or fear.

"S-sorry, I just don't know how to deal with this K" I admitted.

"Well I do, we just stick together Like the family we are and support you, it's why you have us" Kaila said.

I send her a fake, smile. I was far from okay at this point.

Its like after that eye phase, I felt different, in a bad way.

Darkness.

That damn voice again.

Let it in.

'Shut up!' I mentally yelled.

"Lloyd!" I finally snapped out of my thoughts.

"Huh what​?" I asked and Kaila crossed her arms.

"I asked you if you want to go down to watch the kids play" Kaila repeated.

"Oh uh, s-sure why not" I said and got up.

Kaila kept that look on her face that said 'something is wrong'.

I pretty much ignored all the looks I got once I was down.

"What?" I finally snapped at Jay who was giving me weird looks.

"Oh n-nothing" he answered and looked away.

After my snapping at him, everyone talking became a blank.

There voices kept getting farther and farther away from me.

They're leaving you behind, look at them having fun without you.

'Be quiet!' I yelled at the voice that kept messing with my head.

Oh I will, but with a price.

Once I thought the voice was gone, a major headache attacked me.

"Gaah!" I yelled out causing everyone to look at me.

"Lloyd what's wrong?!" Kaila yelled in panic.

Give in...let me take over.

I yelled out in pain, whatever this voice was doing it was causing me a painful headache.

"M-misako!!" I heard Kaila yell to mom.

"Oh no.." mom gasped at the scene in front of her.

"What's happening to him?!" Kaila yelled through panic.

"G-get it out!" I yelled.

"Get out what?! Lloyd tell me!" I heard mom yell to me.

Then it flicked.

I yelled out and soon I burst a huge energy wave that formed a huge crater around me.

Yeees, let it take over, let the good be gone.

"S-shut up!!" I yelled again.

Soon all the noise around became a blur and all I could make out of it was "what's wrong" and "daddy!!"

Darkness will rise, and the light will fall. Accept your fate and let me in Lloyd, I can help you become stronger...

"I..aaah!!" I yelled again, yet louder and more energy came out of me.

As soon as I heard a "daddy please stop!!!!" I went back to reality.

I snapped out of my daze and saw All my family filled with scratches and staring at me in fear.

"W-what I done..." I whispered as I stepped back.

"Aaah! My leg!" Jay yelled and I saw that his leg was terribly bleeding.

"I...." I hesitated as I tried to form a sentence.

Instead I ran out and ignored all the yells my family were yelling for me to come back.

I formed my dragon and got on it.

"Lloyd wait!!" Kaila yelled as she ran up to me.

She was too late, I was already flying off to who knows where.

The last thing I heard was kaila yelling "Lloyd stop!!".

(Kaila's POV)

I was too late, Lloyd already flew away.

I walked back inside and saw the huge crater that Lloyd has formed.

"Mommy....where's daddy?" Xander asked as he hugged Misako.

"He...left" I simply said as tears streamed down my face.

"Granny...why did daddy hurt us?" Hope asked.

"I...don't know dear" Misako said as she looked up to where Lloyd went from.

"What about the 'get it out of me' thing, any answers?" I asked.

"I think it was the virus itself trying to take over" Misako said and we all gasped.

"We have to find him! He might lose control if we don't help him!" I yelled.

Misako, Hope, and Xander all nodded while sensei Wu wrapped up Jay's leg.

'I hope you're okay Lloyd, I'll find you no matter what'

-Sledge's lair-

Metal Alice approached her master.

"Master, the boy has ran off and left his family behind" she said to her master.

"Excellent, the corruption is spreading faster than I thought, where is the boy headed?" Sledge asked.

"Judging by the path he's taking I'd have to say none other than the location of the war where his father died" Metal Alice Answered.

"Get him to me, it's time we started improving the spread of that corruption through his veins" Sledge ordered as he sat back down on his thrown.

"Yes master..." Metal Alice said as she left to fetch their newest soon-to-be weapon.
