Chapter 6

(before I start, I was having midterms in the past month which made it almost impossible to update, so sorry for putting this book aside, thus I was working on another story with my friends called "the wall between us" so check that out and without any further delay, on to the chapter!)

(Luna's POV)

Oh no. This is terrible! Lloyd saw me and I'm certain he'll come looking for me, what should I do?

Should I suck it up and tell him the truth? or should I just run away, like I've done all my life?

Maybe I'm just over reacting, yeah. I should wait for the right time to face him after all those years,

but how should I tell him?

(Kaila's POV)

Lloyd has been pretty hesitant in the past few days, he doesn't know what to do anymore,

He can't stay in the house all his life trying to find a way to find his sister, he needs to enjoy what he's got left,

The kids have gotten really worried since he isn't talking a lot like he usually does, and I've had it with that, it's time we went on a family trip together and forget about all this,

I walked to my shared room upstairs and walked in only to see Lloyd staring blankly at the wall,

"Lloyd?" I asked as I walked towards him, and he turns to me in response,

"yeah? don't worry, I'm just thinking" he said and I just stared into his emerald eyes making sure he was honest,

"so I was thinking, why don't we all go out on a good old family night to lower the tension in this house" I said as I sat beside him and waited for his answer,

"sure. I needed the fresh air anyway" he said with a small smile drawn on his face and I shot him back a smirk,

"yes we can get some 'us' time while the kids play in the usual spot" he said and I giggled in response.

-meanwhile in the forest-

"come on daddy hurry!" yelled Hope as she pulled Lloyd by his arms towards our usual 'calming down' area,

"okay slow down sweetheart" said Lloyd as he sent me a 'help me' look and I just shook my head and giggled,

we kept walking until we made it to the waterfall the kids loved to play by, and Lloyd and I sat down under the Mother Tree's shadow, how we call it at least since it seemed to be the largest tree in sight,

"so..." I started trying to kill down the quietness and Lloyd just laughs knowing what I wanted,

He leans in and pulls me into a passionate kiss and I wrap my arms around his neck as he slipped his hands around my waist,

I heard the kids giggling and running around and Hope yelling to Xander "hey no fair! dad said no using powers!"

"he didn't say when nobody's around!" Yelled Xander.

I finally pull away for air and stare into my love's peaceful green eyes with a smile plastered upon my face.

"you know I love you right?" asked Lloyd as he kissed my forehead, and I mockingly answered "you never told me so"

"of course you do" he said as pulled me into another kiss, but get interrupted by a rustling noise.

"what was that" I asked as I looked around only seeing Hope and Xander running around acting like the cute little monkeys they are.

I heard a soft yelp just near the tree we were under so I get up to search for the source of the sound and Lloyd does the same.

(Lloyd's POV)

I get up to a soft yelp and try to pinpoint from where it came from, but no use.

"you think we're being followed?" I asked Kaila.

"maybe, we should keep quiet though" she answered and I nodded in response.

Then we hear gasp coming from the Mother Tree so we head towards the tree and quietly tuen around it only to see Luna standing there.

"Luna?" I asked and she just stares at me then starts running so I follow her.

"stay away!" she yelled as she starts to uncontrollably shoot dark energy orbs at us.

"Luna try to control it! I know you can!" I yell as I try to step closer to the now crying girl.

"I-I can't!" She yells as she steps back and starts running again.

"Luna please! Where have you been?" I yelled as I ran after her with Kaila.

Luna just stops and turns to me and says "I want to tell you everything, I really do, but I ca-" she stops as her hands start shooting again.

"Get away from here Lloyd!" She yells as she tries to stop her powers.

"I won't leave you h-" I start but get cut off by Kaila yelling at me "Watch out!!".

Before I have the chance to Dodge the blast, it hits me and pushes me back.

"Lloyd!!" Yelled kaila as she runs to me and starts shaking me.

"Lloyd please stay with me!" She yells as tears start forming in Kaila's eyes.

"What have I done..." whispers Luna as she starts running off again.

My vision starts to blur and as soon as I hear the voice of my kids yelling, everything goes black.

-meanwhile in sledge's lair-

"Sir, the girl has done it" said metal alice as she walked towards her master's thrown.

"Excellent, has the boy woken up yet?" Asked sledge.

"No sire, he is still unconscious" answered Metal Alice.

"Ah good, now we just wait for the corruption to spread, and soon, he will all ours to play with" he said as he wore a wicked smile and laughed evilly.

"Shall I go keep watch?" asked Metal Alice.

"Yes you shall, and make sure he goes through anger and pain" said sledge.

"Yes master" answered the assistant as she exited sledge's chamber.

-later-

where am I?

all he saw was darkness and all he felt was pain.

"its time now" echoed a voice.

"Who are you?!" Yelled the boy.

"Me? I'm you!" Said the voice.

"H-how?" Asked the boy.

"Now now don't get too angry before even I take over" it said.

"Take over?" The boy asked.

"And I thought you'd understand, all I can say for now is that your pathetic goodness will soon be replaced by anger and sorrow" it answered.

"I don't get it, what do you want?!" He yelled.

"Your soul, heart, and mind" said the voice as everything becomes a blur again.
