Thalia Joyce was sitting on a bench reading her book, not noticing a certain Slytherin boy starting at her. Tom Riddle tried to get her attention since the very first day he saw her. She was a Ravenclaw, one of the smartest in her year and the prettiest in Hogwarts. Tom tried to get enough courage to ask her out. He started walking up to her, trying to keep his cool and not back out. Thalia noticed someone walking towards her, she looked up.
"What do you want, Riddle?"
"Nothing Joyce, just walking around, is that a crime?"
"No I guess not Riddle" Thalia just looked back at her book, not saying anything. Tom then decided to sit next to her.
"What are you reading?" Tom asked. Thalia looked up and smiled.
"It's just a muggle book for kids that my mom would always read to me, Rapunzel"
"Rapunzel, what an unusual name what does it mean?"
"It is a type of herb known to grow in the most baren of landscapes." She than looked back down at her book
"So maybe you can tell me more about the story. Maybe like on a date with sometimes?" She looked back up again and smiled
"Sure, Tom"
