Hi there, yes I am aware that in almost every one of my stories I tend to slip in a 'search and rescue' chapter. I hope you'll like this one. VeGirl

I was allowed to sit in on the first meeting with the security team. I still had trouble to comprehend the beauty of all the people living there. I felt bland and boring, and at the same time I felt so incredibly observed. Perhaps it wasn't so hard to figure out; I was the only one with anything other than black hair. Everywhere I went; people stopped what they were doing and simply stared at me and my blond curls. On the contrary to what I would have believed, it was not all that it was cracked up to be. The spotlight was draining.

I kept by Quin's side; something he was rather pleased with, considering the pursuing ex. Right now I sat by his side around a table with five other tall darkhaired beauteous men, brainstorming of who might be the perpetrator and why they had taken Ty.

"No one in my organization has any knowledge of any threat against the light fae kingdom."

Kingdom? I refrained of uttering the word and listened instead.

"No and to think it would be anyone in Svartalfheim is preposterous; that only leaves Aos Si," someone suggested and more of them nodded in agreement.

I didn't know much about this weird reality and no matter how much I had engaged in various projects in my own world, I had to sit back and let the others handle this. It was frustrating to sit idly by.

"What is that?"

Everybody turned towards me. "What do you mean; Aos Si?" Quin asked surprised by my intermission.

I instantly got irritated. "What more do you know and haven't told me?" It was concern about Ty that made me snap, but I instantly regretted the harsh tone. I knew nothing of this world of their. The people around the table seemed aghast about the disrespectful tone of voice.

Quin apparently saw my distress, if the amusement on his face was anything to go by. "By the look of them it seemed that it was the cute little fairies that took him." He frowned; probably at the configuration my upbringing had imprinted on me. Who was I to know?

"Fairies?"

"Yes, you've travelled through Aos Si, before we entered the Dark Forest." The questioning tone waited for me to understand.

Was Aos Si the official name of Andlang that Ty had spoken of? The insight was clear to see on my face, but I didn't have anything more to offer.

The others started to draw up strategies and I observed them from inside my own little bubble of reality. It wasn't as if I had any experience in search and rescue. I would have to ask Quin to explain everything afterwards since I was determined to not expose any more of my inexperience.

Instead of being accessory in the plan, I turned inwards; contemplating why I had got so invested in a guy I had only known for a couple of days. It was true that I had longed for an adventure, but how could I have been so eager to dump my husband and gang up with the new guy?

The smell that surrounded him had been familiar to me, but first now I remembered that it was the same smell that had been so deeply imbedded in my grandmother's home.

Was it magic?

It hit me like a freight train; my grandmother hadn't just been well versed with herbs and ointments; she had known real magic! That thought alone had been preposterous to me just a few months ago but here and now it seemed perfectly natural.
