                     Daddy's time off

Laughter could be heard in the the living room where Sakura is playing with her children. It was eight o'clock at night and they were waiting for their father to come home and say good night to them.

"Ok Shina chan its time for bed." Sakura said to her son.

"Aww but its only eight o'clock!" Shinachiku whined. He wanted to wait for his father so he could say good night to him or actually see him before he goes to bed.

"I'm sorry Shinachiku but you have school tomorrow plus your baby sister is all tuckered out." Sakura said. She just had baby Hanami two weeks ago and was still off from work for four weeks.

"Oh but...alright I'm going." He said sadly. He was walking towards the stairs but stopped and turned to face his mother.

"Tell dad I said good night...again..." Shina said. He turned back around and walked to his bedroom with his head hung low.

"I'm sorry honey..." Sakura shouted. She felt awful that this had happened. So when Naruto gets home she's gonna straighten this whole thing out. In the mean time she put Hanami down to sleep and made a few calls to certain people.

'Tomorrow is gonna be a good day.' She thought. A few hours later her husband finally came home from work.

"Hey Sakura chan what are you doing still up?" Naruto asked.

"Stuff now Naruto we need to talk so sit down." Sakura said. She motioned for him to sit down on the couch.

"Ugh Sakura chan I'm really tired from being Hokage all day can we just talk in the morning?" He complained. All day he's been bored to death staring at paperwork reading word from word from word then signing it. Sometimes is very interesting to be a Hokage but other times...eh.

"No this is important so sit please." Sakura said nicely trying to keep her cool.

"But I-" He got cut off.

"Sit down now." Sakura said through gritted teeth. He sat down a mediately. He didn't want to get her mad while she's tired because when those two mix its chaos for everybody.

"Ok now...you've been working a lot and you haven't been able to spend time with Shinachiku like he wants you too." Sakura said.

"Well I tried to pull some strings for him but it just failed and I couldn't do anything." Naruto explained.

"I know I know but your gonna spend time with him all day tomorrow so you'll need to plan to do things with him and-" She explained but got interrupted.

"Wait w-what do you mean spend the whole day with him I have a duty to do tomorrow?" He questioned.

"Well not exactly...I'm gonna be taking your place for the day since I'm still off from the hospital." She said. Naruto widen his eyes in surprise.

'Wait your gonna take over but what about everybody else?" Naruto asked.

"I've already let them know and there completely ok with it...plus I do have experience...lady Tsunade use to make me do the paperwork while she takes a break." Sakura explained. "Now come on let's go to bed." She said.

They both got up and headed for bed. The next day Sakura had gotten up at six to get ready for 'work'. Before she left, she kissed both her husband and children good bye and left. Soon Naruto was awaken by the sound of a baby crying.

"Ugh...." A grunt excasped his lips. His body spread out on the bed and layed there until the crying got louder and louder. He grunted again and quickly got up and went to the source of the crying.

"Hmmm whats....what's wrong my little angel hmm?" Naruto said while walking towards her. He picked her up cradled her in his arms and bounced up and down slightly. At first this method wasn't working so he sung a little song he knows and thirty minutes later she calmed down.

"There we go now come on I bet your hungry huh." He said. The tiny baby smiled at her father. "I'll take that as a yes." He said chuckling a bit. He put her down and grabbed a baby holder and put it on. Sakura thought that it would be useful to do more things so she bought it and boy was she right. He picked Hanami up and put her into the holder and headed to his son room.

"Shina chan you awake?" Naruto whispered. He looked and saw that he was still sleeping peacefully. He closed the door back and headed down stairs and started to cook breakfast.

Thirty minutes later Shinachiku woke up to the smell of food and headed down stairs.

"Good morning mom did dad leave already?" He asked as he sat down at the table.

"Nope actually I'm still here." Naruto said. He turned around smiling at his son. Shinachiku looked up and was surprised at what he saw.

"Dad!" He said. He got up quickly and hugged his father tightly.

"How are you here and where's mom?" Shina asked.

"Well your mother is at the Hokage tower doing my job so I can spend the whole day with you two." Naruto explained.

"That's awesome what are we gonna do today?" Shina asked.

"Well we could do anything you wanna do but first lets eat." He said. Naruto fixed both plates and ate with his son. Before he started cooking he fed Hanami and burped her already. They got done with their food and changed clothes and did their personal hygiene. They decided to go to the park for the day so the packed some snacks and such.

"You ready to go Shina chan?" Naruto asked.

"Yeah I'm ready." He replied and ran out the house. Since the park was around the corner they decided to walk there. When they finally arrived there, Shinachiku ran straight to the swings and Naruto followed.

"Come on dad push me!" He said while adjusting himself on the swing.

"Alright I'm coming." Naruto chuckled. He picked up Hanami and put her into the baby swing next to him and summoned a clone to push Hanami. Both children giggled at the feeling of the wind on their skin. Later that day Naruto played chase and hide and go seek with Shina chan while the clone plays with Hanami.

'I don't regret taking off of work.' Naruto thought. He looked down at his tuckered out children he was carrying back to the house. They had been there playing around all day till six. Today was the best day he's ever had with his children.
