                       Heartburn

' Today is the day I tell him. Just breathe Sakura. Just breathe.'

She inhaled a big breath and exhaled it. "Ok. Let's go."

She walks down the roads of Konoha all the way to Naruto's house. All while walking there, she's thinking about how she's going to tell him.

'Should I apologize for denying him all this time? No no that's not something to apologize for. But do I just tell him I like him in a straightforward way? No that's too rough. Maybe I should explain myself? Or I could tell him how my feelings came to be? ....You know what, I'll just go with what ever comes to mind.'

"You got this Sakura. You got this." And with that in mind, Sakura sped up her walking and in no time, arrived at his house.

"Here goes nothing." she said and walked up to his door. She knocked three times and waited for a response.

"Who is it?!"

"It's me. Open up I need to talk to you."

Suddenly, she heard fast footsteps making their way to the door and swung open. "Sakura-chan! W-What are you doing here?"

"Uh can I come in?"

"Sure. Come in!" Naruto stepped to the Sue and watched her go inside and closed the door right behind him. He speed walked to his coffee table and cleaned up the the empty instant ramen noodle cup and put it in the garbage.

"Sorry for the mess. I didn't expect anybody to come here today. Ah you said you have something to talk about?" he said making his way back to her.

"Yes well uh it's....kind of hard to explain."

'This is your chance Sakura! Don't mess this up!' she encouraged herself.

"Oh? It must be serious. You wanna sit down?" Naruto asked her motioning her to have a seat next to him.

"No no thanks. But thank you though."

"Ok. What is it?"

"Well I've had this feeling inside of me for a while. And no matter what I do, it won't go away. I-It's like a fire inside of me, my heart I mean....you get what I'm saying?"

"....Is it heartburn...?

"What?"

"Look I don't know. You said that you feel a fire like thingy inside of you so do you feel heartburn or..?"

"Ugh Naruto what I'm trying to explain to you is! Is.....is that I think I'm in love with you."

"Huh? S-Say that again. I don't think I heard you right the first time." Naruto said picking at ear.

"For the love of." Sakura said before walking to him and pulling him into a brief kiss. She pulled away and asked him "Do you you understand now?"

Naruto was in a daze. He couldn't believe that Sakura would be the one to kiss him. He never expected her to even confess!

"Naruto. Naruto? Oi Naruto you there?" she said waving her head in his face.

"You like me...?"

"I do."

"Y-You....you kissed me?"

"I did."

"Do it again."

"Gladly."
